When Fuzz Collective first joined the Color Red Music family, we knew we were stepping into something special—but we didn’t realize just how transformational the partnership would be. Over the past year, what began as a record-label relationship has evolved into a true creative alliance, one that’s pushed our music, our brand, and our community further than we ever imagined.

Color Red—founded by Eddie Roberts of The New Mastersounds—has built a reputation for cultivating authentic, groove-driven artists and elevating them with world-class support. Experiencing that from the inside has been nothing short of incredible.

A Label That Actually Shows Up

Many independent artists sign deals hoping for real partnership but end up doing everything themselves. Color Red has been the opposite. From day one, they’ve offered hands-on guidance and a deep belief in what Fuzz Collective is building.

They’ve supported us across every corner of the project, including:

🔹 Social Media & Marketing

Color Red’s team has helped us level up our digital presence—strategy, rollout planning, and content support included. Despite being a new artist on the label, Brandon Jay, Color Red's Marketing Guru, has fully embraced us and has been incredibly supportive and insightful on best practices. He has led the charge on all outreach for the label from creative copy to even the look and feel of our website. Their guidance has sharpened our voice and expanded our reach across social platforms, helping our music find new listeners around the world.

🔹 Merchandise & Brand Development

From design feedback to production coordination, Color Red has been instrumental in building out our merch line. Working with people who understand both music culture and the business behind it has made all the difference.

🔹 Production & Distribution

Whether it’s the meticulous mixing process, laying down tracks with their engineers, or prepping releases for the world, Color Red has been in lockstep with us.And distribution? Top notch. Our music now flows seamlessly across all digital platforms, and we’re thrilled that they’re helping guide us through vinyl production—something that means a lot to our band and our fans.

🔹 A True Live-Music Ally

One of the most unexpected (and amazing) parts of this partnership has been the live-show support. Eddie Roberts himself has helped book shows for Fuzz Collective, opening doors we couldn’t have reached alone. But beyond that? Eddie has joined us on stage—multiple times.

There’s nothing quite like performing with one of your musical heroes, especially when he’s also the guy cheering you on behind the scenes.

A Community of World-Class Artists

One of the most inspiring aspects of being on Color Red is being part of a roster filled with some of the tightest, most respected groove, funk, and soul musicians working today. Sharing a label with these artists is energizing—it’s like being part of a global collective of musicians who genuinely love groove-based music.

Color Red is home to incredible acts such as:

  • The New Mastersounds – Eddie Roberts’ legendary British funk outfit and one of the most important modern funk bands on the planet.

  • George Porter Jr – the bassist and singer of one of the legendary Meters - one of my favorite bands of all time!

  • Matador! Soul Sounds – A powerhouse collaboration with members of The New Mastersounds and Soulive, blending funk, jazz, and soul in rich, modern arrangements.

  • The Greyboy Allstars – Icons of West Coast soul-jazz and acid-funk with a decades-long impact on the genre.

  • Anomalie – Known for genre-blending, jazz-infused electronic grooves and world-class keyboard work.

  • Break Science – A fusion of funk, electronic music, and hip-hop with deep roots in the jam community.

  • Leo P (Too Many Zooz) – Baritone sax phenom whose explosive sound has reshaped modern brass-driven funk.

Being surrounded by musicians of this caliber pushes us to raise our game. It’s inspiring, humbling, and creatively invigorating.

A Relationship Rooted in Community & Collaboration

What separates Color Red is the culture they’ve built: artist-driven, collaborative, open-minded, and genuinely passionate. You feel it the moment you walk into a session or hop onto a call. They care about the music, but they also care about the people making it.

For Fuzz Collective, that sense of partnership has energized us creatively. It’s pushed us to evolve our sound, refine our vision, and dream bigger—both in the studio and on stage.

Looking Ahead

With new releases coming, more shows on the horizon, and vinyl pressing underway, we’re just getting started.

Being signed to Color Red Music hasn’t just helped us grow—it’s helped us become the band we’ve always envisioned. And we couldn’t be more grateful.

Big love to Eddie, Brandon, John and the entire Color Red team. Look out for our second album in 2026!
