A new WA state bill restricting the amount of lead in toys may push Seattle's favorite quirky toy store out of business if it becomes law. Better get your devil duckies while you can. :(

Oh no!!! I worked for Accoutrements/Archie McPhee for 5 years, and I helped move the Fremont store to the Ballard area location, and helped put up most of the shelving in there. If they close, they'll just have to step up their wholesale retail operation and their mail order, which seems to do just fine...but it would be sad to see Pahlow and Co. have to close the store. So much pride and work went into it, believe me.
Sad.
