The first time I saw the Synthetics, I didn't know what to expect. Four young men walk onto the stage, two dressed as your normal teenage punk-rockers, with two of them in tow, clad in shiny shirts that would make even Elton John green with envy.
The Synthetics' myspace songs don't do justice to their actual live sound. Screaming and synth never sounded so good. Oh, and that synth? Did I mention the synth? Superb. They've got the perfect blend of Misfits-ish rock n roll, Devo (they do an AMAZING cover of Girl U Want), and a a kind of remarkable resemblance of The Screamers.
