Communicating with Dolphins
I found Michaud Savage sitting in my school's smoking section a couple years ago. He never went to my high school. He did, later on, find himself in Peru learning lots of tea brewing techniques and manipulations with shamans. I think he is probably Jesus, or something funner.
Prior to intense adulthood via Evergreen State College, Michaud played guitar for me and other birds at #2 bus stops and Cal Anderson park. You don't have to be able to communicate with angels or dolphins to interpret his lyrics, just open your ears. Y'dig? Here is my iChat interview with Michaud Savage....

biter: When did you start sangin’?
M savage: I started when i was 9 or 10. I was a choir boy. Then I was a jazz vocalist in middle school and then I got training in the school of smoke for the past few years.

biter: School of smoke?
M savage: Smoking has hurt my throat to my aesthetical benefit

biter: Like tom waits
M savage: Or the guy from powerman5000 or MF Doom

biter: So, I hear you’re a shaman
M savage: A showman? those medicine people, they're a trip.

biter: Do tell
M savage: How long can you go learning what you need before you can just understand what you need?
Then again, if your life is about healing, then there isn't such a thing as too much pain.
Then again, if you're doing drugs all the time, how much are you just suffering?

biter: How much peyote did you have to chew to come up with that?
M savage: Lolz

biter: What has been inspiring or intriguing you in the Seattle/Olympia music scenes?
M savage: I think it's interesting how much more people dance in Olympia. And how much more lighthearted Olympia is. Though there are more people in Olympia attacking shit, there is much more of a disposition to positivity. I am really excited for the Seattle Occultural Musick Festival.

biter: What is the Occultural Music Festival?
M savage: A two-weekend, community-based festival of esoteric, mystical & psychoacoustic musics, spanning the region's breadth of generations & genres. Established to integrate Seattle's diverse experimental arts scene, introduce new local artists & import important outside influence.

biter: Are you playing it?
M savage: I might be singing with Paintings for Animals, but I'm not sure

biter: Are you playing any other shows here in Seattle?
M savage: This saturday at The Dearborn at Woodland house. I'm excited to see Paleo, I've heard a lot about him

biter: Is Michaud Savage your real name?
M savage: It's my brother's name

Savage is performing at the Dearborn House on Woodland this Saturday (May 10) along with a potluck and two other local to Seattle performances. You will find the calmest of vibes seeping from the pores of the Dearborn House. As well as the pores of the attendees and performers. I want to be going to this event, but I will be spiking the punch at my Senior Prom.
