Seattle Music

Music should tap into the deepest recesses of the soul. Today my partner and I were talking about how the exact same song had made us cry at different points in our life. The song was on this Latin American Communista music a friend had given me a few years back. It sucks that I don't know the artists on the mixed cd, because I would list them and highly reccomend that anyone listen to them. At the time in my life when I recieved this beautiful music I was in a rough spot and the music was so powerful it made me cry. Not the I'm felling sorry for myself and listening to Bright Eyes to make me cry type of crying but more like this music is so incredably beautiful that I shouldn't have the privelidge of hearing it kind of crying. I found it pretty amazing that we both felt this way about the music. I suppose that all good music touches on different emotions and those emotions can change with the same music at different points in life.
