Mindless Self Indulgence at Empire Events Center
Outside the venue, fans were lining up for the night's headliner, Mindless Self Indulgence. Outside you could just barely make out amoungst all the chatter what songs everyone hope the band would be playing, and the tempting sound check of the bands inside were driving them all crazy. When the door's opened, the nights events began to unfold.
The first band that played had plenty of mixed opinions. A Kiss Could Be Deadly was a mixture of Rock, Synth-pop and Pop. For some of the show go-ers, the band was a little too clean. "They sound a bit too commercial, maybe a bit too....rehearsed," was the opinion of girl by the name of Julia,"I don't really like them because they sound like a lot of other bands out there, they don't stand out." I noticed that, try as the band might, they couldn't seem to rouse the audience. Sure a few clapped along, but it looked like noone was having fun with the band. Not everyone had the opinion like Julia though, A girl named Veronica, who was there to see The Birthday Massacre, thoroughly enjoyed the band. "The music was really good. The Vocalist in the band really stood out to me."

As that band left the stage, a larger part of the audience got pepped for the next band, The Birthday Massacre. On stage, the band had plenty of energy, putting themselves all the way in it. It was like watching a horror movie you loved, their music holds that kind sinister feeling in it, and that really drew us all in. The band probably earned plenty more fans that night, grabbing us with songs such as 'Blue' and ‘Happy Birthday’. This band has a great stage presence, and the sound is as clear and true as on the CD.

The real pandemonium happened when Mindless Self Indulgence took the stage. The band has a strong fan base, Sound, presence, and everything. It’s a GREAT show, entertaining all the way. I couldn’t stop laughing [Jared Leto, I want YOU!]. Jimmy Urine is absolutely CRAZY on stage, in that good way. Unlike a lot of bands out there, the band sounds exactly like listening to their CD, or MP3 online. Not one mess up, not one thing out of place, the band is fun to watch and easy to dance to the songs. They ruled that audience, if I ever get a chance to see them again, I wouldn’t even have to think about it, the answer would be yes in a heartbeat.

Anyways, DUDE SO AMAZING.
I saw them at Projekt Revolution last year but that was outside and dusty and hot, but they were still good.
This time, INSIDE...it was freaking insane. The crowd wasn't as bad as outside, but MSI seriously kicked every ass out there. Some chick was chosen to go on stage during BITCHES but she didn't know half the words!!! omg so lame.
The first band for us was weird, dont remember the name but the dude looked like Manson. TBM was good too. I love the chick and the keyboardist. haha
Then MSI and their crazy shit. They were exactly like you said, ON KEY in everything! Jimmy took off his shirt :) And flickered the lights 219083 times. And yelled shit to us. Amazing.
The show sold out. We got tix outside from scalpers for $50 (for each, we bought 2) and a third one for 35 from a fan on craigslist. It was worth it.
