You know those somewhat old songs that you look back and think to yourself, “Was that really one of my favorite songs at one point?”. How about the songs that faded out but YOU still remember, yet you keep forgetting to try and find it online? For everyone, I am sure there are plenty of those. Let’s see if you can remember some of these big name songs (Which I’m sure you will).

Are you blue? This song is still kicking teenagers and adults who listened to this song when it first came out in 1999. ‘Blue’ by Eiffel 65 is something that had everyone singing when it hit airwaves. We STILL dance around and blast it in any available speaker! Whenever any of us hear that little digital sound that starts off the song, we all smile and start singing along. Even if you don’t know the first verse, we ALL know the chorus [I'm blue ,Da Ba Dee, Da ba Da, Da Ba Dee, Da ba Da] or something like that, Ha-ha. It’s a song you never forget or get sick of; you just need a break from it! Don’t remember? Go jog your memory I know you know it.

R-U-G-R-A-T-S. Yes, I know, the Nickelodeon show. But wait, the song wasn’t Wowing the public, so what am I talking about? Your forgetting (or you didn’t know) that for one of the movies, artists Mya did a song called ‘Take me there’, which got a lot of people singing along to it, regardless if they were ‘too old’ for the rugrats. It has a fun beat you will love. Now, that’s just me, but a lot of my friends, and people a bit older still love this song. Go check it out and tell me what you think of it.

I’ll never let this SONG go! 1999 we fell in love with Third Eye Blind’s song ‘Never Let You Go’. If you don’t know the lyrics, you’ll most likely be making up some words to fit in the higher part of the song, Another Match-in-go? I’ve actually heard THAT before, ha-ha. It’s an upbeat song you want to turn up when it’s on the radio, and you’re in that terrible traffic. This song is not wrong, wrong, wrong.

Hmm, Modest Mouse anyone? Float on was a song I remember from ’04. Sure I was 12, and I didn’t know who this band WAS, but all I can recall was that this was a strange song with an even stranger music video. I got into the band as time went by, and I NEVER forgot this song. It was a big hit in the rock scene; rock/ alternative radio stations played the song a good amount of times. Not enough to make us sick of it, and unfortunately, not enough to be remembered EXTREMELY well. It’s for sure one of my favorite songs to this date.

Chingy! One of the THREE songs I know is ‘Balla Baby’, and unless you didn’t hear it when it was big (which is WAS at one point), you’re not going to know it. I use to and still LOVE this song. I can move to it, and it’s a great song, the chorus of it really gets stuck in my head, and when I rap along with it, I find it fun. Coming out in 2004, I still listen to it PLENTY of times. It’s hard not to have a good time with this song, and besides, IT’S CHINGY! And even if a lot of you don’t like this song, it’s ok; we know it’s a guilty pleasure for you.

I can’t wait to hear the tune…OF ATC! Whenever I think of the bands song ‘Around the world’ I think pure straight up party. Today I hear it as peoples ringtone, and I blast it while I am driving around in my car! It really took over the world in a short amount of time, and then the band seem to disappear just as quickly as they HAD appeared. It was like blink, there they are, blink, their gone. And even though we haven’t heard much more from ATC, the song this band left behind has made history. Say you hate this song and hate the band as much as you want, we know you are singing ‘Around The World’ to yourself at this moment in time.

So, did you remember any of these songs? Or did you go and refresh your memory while reading? Either way, These songs had a HUGE impact on music fans at one point or another. These are still some of my favorite songs, are any of them yours?
