Music comes and goes. Some bands are well known and fade out for a bit to make more music and we forget them, and some slowly slide into the spotlight. Everyone, everywhere is bringing a new sound to the table every day. If the band is REALLY appealing, they'll be the biggest thing since...sliced bread(Haha)! Right now, these can be consider some favorites of the nation, or even the world! One thing I know, is you can't ignore these bands, even if you tried.

The Flobots. This band having formed in Denver, Colorado 2005, has QUICKLY rose to fame. They had us bobbing our heads in our cars to their HIGHLY demanded song 'Handlebars' on our way to and from work. There's no escape, this band will have you as a fan whether they win you with their beats or their lyrics. They have proven they CAN rule a nation with a microphone.

Be Your Own Pet is slowly making their way into the spotlight. Jemina Pearl's voice has that quirky kind of sound to it, and with the band's sound, created this AWESOME band. Hitting radio waves with 'The Kelly affair', the song will have you turning it up. The band is said to have a kind of Yeah Yeah Yeah's flavor to them, that's something we can't deny, even if it's only a little bit.

Does It Offend You, Yeah? is DEFINITELY a favorite of club/dance people. Mixing Electro with a bit of a punk vibe, They've been compared to acts such as Daft Punk, Justice, and Digitalism. They sure can get us moving, whether in our seats or on the dance floor, They sure don't Offend me!

Tokyo Police Club started getting attention for their music in 2005. They have a calm sound about them and hook us like a fish with their lyrics. The band is definitely a favorite of the public, having 'Nature of the experiment' reeling the crowds in. Look out in local stores for their new LP, Elephant Shell, release April 22nd.

Relient K. What to say, what to say. They are like an on again, off again relationship...they appear and then fade [Then rinse, and repeat]. One thing that stays the same though is, how great this band is. I'm sure we all remember 'Who I am hates who I've been' (If you haven't heard this song, your seriously missing out). The song may have been the second single from the band's fourth album Mmhmm' in '04, but it was the one that definitely got audiences to notice the band. Their most recent album, Five score and seven years ago, gave us another awesome song with ' The Best Thing', which is the second single off that album. Is it just me or does this band have a thing with the second single they release from the CD or what? Either way, this band could be considered the next best thing.

New, or Brought back to fame, these bands are some of the newest and biggest on the scene, and I highly doubt we'll pass over their songs on the radio, or their CD's in the stores.
