San Francisco Music

So what's the deal? I am currently living in the Netherlands (you know, Amsterdam. bad food, worse weather, lots of weed yadieyadieya) but I hope to go to San Francisco in January to study at Pyramind (www.pyramind.com). I'm saving as much as I possibly can, but finding a house is a bit of a problem.. I look at Craiglist almost daily, but most of the renting is at a really short notice, and if I find something that looks alright, I can't just take a visit to check the place out, which sucks! So I need some help here.. I would really apreciate it, and if you help me get a appartment or a studio (not a production studio, but a living studio ;)) I will be forever grateful.
