Remixing Pro Tools: The Crystal Method

OFFICIAL RULES

1. HOW TO ENTER: NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Visit http://www.fuzz.com/remixprotools or http://www.fuzz.com/contest/remixingprotools and follow instructions to agree to the participant license ("License") and download a session containing tracks from a song off The Crystal Method's upcoming album ("Session"). To enter the Promotion, remix the Session using Digidesign Pro Tools or the digital audio hardware or software of your choice ("Remix"), and upload your Remix to www.fuzz.com. The Promotion begins on June 26, 2008 at 8:00 A.M. (PST) and ends on September 30, 2008 at 8:00 A.M. (PST). Avid Technology, Inc. (Sponsor), is not responsible for late, incomplete, lost, delayed, garbled or misdirected entries. In order to qualify, user must complete the required fields of the Promotion form and must submit a valid e-mail address.

2. ELIGIBILITY: All Remixes must be successfully uploaded to Fuzz.com by 8:00 A.M. (PST) on September 30, 2008. Open to legal residents of the United States and Canada, excluding Quebec, who have reached majority age in their state or province of residence at time of entry. Employees of Sponsors, their prize manufacturers, their affiliated companies, participating advertising agencies, subsidiaries, and/or promotional partners, any other company involved with the design, production, execution or distribution of the Promotion, and their immediate families and members of the same household are not eligible to win. Entrant agrees to not knowingly damage or cause interruption of the Promotion and/or prevent others from accessing the Promotion. Void where prohibited and in Quebec. As a condition of participation in the Promotion, all entrants must agree to a License governing use of the Session and Remix.
3. SELECTION OF WINNERS: Promotion winner(s) will be selected by Sponsor and The Crystal Method from a group of semi-finalists whose mixes are rated highest on Fuzz.com. Winners will be notified by the e-mail address they submitted within seven days after the winning remix is determined. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. By entering the Promotion, entrants acknowledge and agree to be bound by these official rules and the License. Decisions of judges are final and binding.

All state, federal and local taxes and other expenses not specifically set forth herein are the sole responsibility of the prize winner. All federal, state, local, municipal and provincial laws and regulations apply. No substitution or transfer of any prize, except Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prize for an item of equal or greater value.

5. CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION: Winner may forfeit prize if Sponsor is unable to achieve contact with winner within 7 days of first attempted notification. In such event, the prize may be awarded to an alternate winner. Potential winner may be required to sign and return an Affidavit of Eligibility, and a Liability/Publicity Release (unless prohibited by law) within 7 days following the date of first contact. Failure to comply with this deadline may result in forfeiture of the prize. Acceptance of the prize constitutes permission for Sponsor and its agencies to use winner's name and/or likeness for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the Promotion or in the announcement of the prize.
6. INTERNET: Sponsor is not responsible for lost or late entries or Remixes, nor for electronic transmission errors resulting in omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operations or transmission, theft or destruction or unauthorized access to or alterations of entry materials, or for technical, network, telephone equipment, electronic, computer, hardware or software malfunctions or limitations of any kind, or inaccurate transmissions of or failure to receive entry information by Sponsor or presenter on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site or any combination thereof. If for any reason the Internet portion of the program is not capable of running as planned, including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes beyond the control of the Sponsor or Sponsors affiliates which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Promotion, the Sponsor reserves the right at its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Promotion. Caution: Any attempt by an entrant Promotionant to deliberately damage any Web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the game is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such entrant to the fullest extent of the law.

7. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY: By accepting the prize, winner agrees that Sponsor, Fuzz.com, and the Crystal Method, their parents, divisions, subsidiaries, affiliates, promotion, and public relation agencies, and the respective officers, directors, shareholders, employees, representatives and agencies of each (collectively "Sponsors" for purposes of this Section 7) shall have no liability whatsoever, for any injury, damage, loss, accident or death incurred in whole or in part from acceptance or use of the prize, or participation in this Promotion. Sponsors make no warranty, representation, or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, relative to the use and enjoyment of any of the prizes, including, but not limited to, their quality, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. Any person who supplies false information, or is otherwise determined to be in violation of these rules in an attempt to obtain any prize, will forfeit any prize won and will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. As a condition of entry, entrant agrees to release Sponsor from any liability extending from any event that occurs which makes the performance of this Promotion by Sponsors impossible.
8. WINNERS LIST: To obtain the names of the winners, send a self-addressed legal-sized envelope to: "Digidesign, Attn: Legal Department. Remixing Pro Tools: The Crystal Method", 2001 Junipero Serra Blvd., Daly City, CA 94014. Request must be received by October 31, 2008.
