Chief inspector Ralph "fuzzy" Graemes was just preparing a report to his senior public official and moaning about this same old Homeland Security bureaucracy stuff, when the phone rang. It was Lucy from the station's reception: "Get happy Rafie it's street work! You can put that heap of forms aside and get on a ride."
"Ha ha" Ralph said, knowing that Lucy was always supposing cause he was taking part in hip hop contests he would dig her old fashioned rhymes type of humour. But what else could you expect from a former English primary school teacher who fell in love with a Samsonite agent and hence moved to San Diego only to catch a job at a police station.
"Wha happened ma?" he asked, imitating her English way of imitating American supposed-to-be-slang.
"A long haired drummer was abducted from a gig he had with his psychedelic prog metal rave band."
"Naaah, there ain't nothing like a psychedelic prog metal rave band."
"Yeah there is. They're called Rala Tams. They are claiming the drummer was abducted by a Scottish Oi! band comprising 3 half-right-wing skinheads and one old kind of punk who seems to be on drugs."
"Why, Lucy, would a Scottish Oi! band want to abduct a long haired metal drummer?"
"Cause they, as Rala Tams' manager is convinced, are in the process of applying a new marketing strategy which implies crossing over to metallish type of Emoish punk in order to crack the US market, at least as far as Arizona and parts of the West Coast are concerned."

"Well Lucy my dear, it seems you got a point there. Please scan the route into my gps and tell Tamiko I'll fill these forms later on. I'm on my way, cheers."

"Cheers and good luck Rafie."
