With "Unsorted songs" I'm more than ever convinced of artist TEAR DROPS. I'm sure that if some big producers get to listen to this they will recognize her potential. And of course she is not only a great performer and songwriter but she also has the ability to be a great producer herself. This is absolutely amazing! It's funny and erotic and groovy and soulful and revolutionary and romantic, you name it. The best in music is all of these things at the same time, and...
Of course the expression "color" actually means some kind of a cultural heritage into which a person is being programmed by society based on society's reaction to the skin's pigments. There are some interesting examples around of musicians spending their complete musical life in the other color's area. Look at white pigment guy Steve Cropper, whose musical roots are black, e.g. his stays in the Mar-Keys and with Booker T. & The M.G.s. But was it really all black? I...
Recently I have become aware of the fact that nearly all my online favorites (friends, links, however you name it) are musicians. This is quite logical. My main interest in online communities is music. If I was interested in watching motorbike races, presumably all my favorites were motorbike race drivers, and if I was interested in crocheted doilies all my favorites were crocheted doilies crocheting grannies, and if I was interested in lion fighting stunts, all my favorites would be lion...
JANET LABELLE EP “Birdsongs” is out now, at least on Snocap, though it’s hard to find there, which seems to be due to some programming errors on the Snocap website. Will keep you updated. Since her former band Avery has been inactive for some time, it was quite thrilling to learn how this enormously gifted songwriter, singer and keyboard player would sound like on her new recordings. And from what can be heard so far it was worth the wait. “Les Fleurs du Mal” gives us a wondrously...
Can someone recommend the ideal portable audio player? It should be able to play all or the most important formats including of course the free formats. It should have a STANDARD rechargeable battery that you can replace yourself. It should be easy to handle. Et cetera.
What has never ceased to astonish me my whole life long: That the most beautiful "Viennese" waltz was indeed composed by a Mexican: Sobre las Olas from Juventino Rosas If you don't know what I'm talking about, listen to one of those two versions, I think you'll recognize the melody instantly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Ims5p-LjV0&feature=related http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YFni5Hauf-w&feature=related Isn't that abolutely wonderful and...
"Oi! We nik'd the banger, now wot we gonna do wit im?" Duncan bellowed. He rose to his full basketballplayers length and blown-up "Rocky" Stallone type muscles, proudly displaying his "National fuck the lefties" Tee and golden hippie-Indian (Aryan!) type of necklace which got him all da punk and hippie chicks he ever dreamt of but couldn't lay his hands on when he was 30 years younger and was a smallish thin anti-Fashist loser type of guy - when the girls...
Chief inspector Ralph "fuzzy" Graemes was just preparing a report to his senior public official and moaning about this same old Homeland Security bureaucracy stuff, when the phone rang. It was Lucy from the station's reception: "Get happy Rafie it's street work! You can put that heap of forms aside and get on a ride." "Ha ha" Ralph said, knowing that Lucy was always supposing cause he was taking part in hip hop contests he would dig her old fashioned...
If you get a chance, would you please go to Sir Sam's website? http://sirsam.fuzz.com/ There is a very good song on there "I love my music". This song sounds so much like an old soul recording (let's say in ca. 1972 someone is trying to sound like 1966) that I raised my doubts that this is a current original. Also I cannot find him on that other website which he refers to. What do you think? Have you ever heard this song before? Do you think the sound quality is a...
Stupid stupid me! It's taken me about 5 months to find out accidentally (by clicking a button I didn't intend to click) that under an artist's "MUSIC" tab there can be different / more tracks than on the artist's "PROFILE" tab. Also there is the BUY ALBUM link which I had been missing all the time! Now apart of the fact that I'm obviously extremely stupid, I wonder why no one of the people to whom I complained about the seemingly missing BUY ALBUM...
