Below this pile of text there's a video of Gibson's new self tuning guitar. On the surface the concept is pretty cool. But really, is it just overkill and lame? I'll ramble on but check out the video and see what you think. First off... The guitar can tune itself to multiple tunings: E, drop D, A etc. Now, I dunno, maybe i'm a fucking guitar nerd but any "big" change in tuning, to me, means you need a different gauge of strings. I could NOT imagine using 9's...
