blog Warning, this may make you very angry...
If you have not already heard, Walmart has decided to take $470,000 from Debbie Shank, a 52 year old mother of three (One of her sons recently died in Iraq), who was involved in a terrible car accident crippling her short term memory, leaving her in a wheelchair, and in a nursing home.

Because of the fine print of Walmarts health insurance plan, since Debbie was involved in a car accident and was awarded the money to take care of the tragic aftermath, they are entitled to take all the money that was supposed to go to taking care of Debbie.

THEY ACTUALLY WANT $470,000 from this handicapped woman in a wheelchair, who needs it to be taken care of in the future. This coming from a company that made $90 billion last quarter...

In Germany there was a huge scandal about Wal Mart and their „Statement of Ethics“. They tried to tread their German employees as bad as they do tread their American employees. Finally Wal Mart was forced by court decisions to change the employment contracts. Times are getting rough here too - but the German laws protects employees better than the American law does. Wal-Mart decided to give up the German market and sold their markets to Metro.

Walmart is the new 'nazi regime model' of corporate retail, I despise them. I don't shop there, nor will I shop there. Saving a few pennies can be done elsewhere, if you really want to be that frugal. I was actually glad they got flooded a few months back, too bad they're still here. It doesn't surprise me that the Europeans threw them out. We should do the same, there's enough goods from China here as it is... and enough mistreatment of workers. If Walmart and Starbucks went away, I certrainly wouldn't shed a tear, nor miss either of them.
