Who's the best? Who's the worst? These are the most common arguments that erupt when discussing the annals of pop culture, but there is another discussion far more compelling: Who's overrated and who's underrated? This is an entirely different basis of comparison from a simple ranking based on quality. Someone or something becomes overrated based on a matter of public perception. It is this perception that is challenged when a piece of pop culture is deemed over/underrated...
Let me be the first. The beginning of each song immediately screams style, musicianship, and originality. The singer has an incredible voice, she projects very well and is right on. Her style fits with the instrumentation perfectly. Speaking of the instrumentation, it seems to be flawless throughout each song. The arrangements are a perfect mix of intensity and serenity. Great job in bringing the originality back into music. Five stars all around from me!
I reviewed all the songs by this band, and I feel privaledged to be able to review these songs. First, I'll say it again and again, I think this band sounds a lot like Nirvana born again, and I love Nirvana. I love this band's amazing style. The songs are just so smooth sounding with the layed back drums and the almost spacey sounding instrumentation. The REM voice of Rick Beaman is what tops it all off for me. All I can really say about this band in general is keep up the outstanding...
