Matt is the founding and only member of function 29, a Vancouver-area electronic act focusing on whatever sounds and feels right at the time. He loves sound design and playing his guitars, 90s Grunge and Industrial, 80s New Wave, 70s Punk, prog rock and (natch) 90s / 00s Electronic music of most kinds. Matt is married to a wonderful woman who is extremely supportive in spite of his razorblade-thick area of attention.
Personal musical heroes include Muslimgauze, Nine Inch Nails, Alice in Chains, Rush, Winterkalte, Autechre, Underworld, The Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys, Skinny Puppy, Sarah McLachlan, Daniel Lanois and many others.
Matt always finds talking about himself in the 3rd person strangely exciting.
