Anybody like Concrete Blonde? I sure in the hell hope you do. Anyway, CB broke up a while back, but Johnette Napolitano has solo projects and side projects (Catfish Scar). She just released a solo album called "Scarred" last Tuesday 05292007. Again, blown away. I've always found her voice and guitar playing quite amazing. Her lyrics and songwriting are just absolutely fantastic! At any rate, if you like her stuff, then go buy her album.
It's in heavy rotation with Justin Potts' new album, "eohippus" (you can find him on my Favorites page). I also bought a used copy of The Raconteurs "Broken Boy Soldiers"--I haven't listened to it yet, but I've heard a number of tracks and I'm pretty certain that I'll like it. Also picked up an album titled "Empty" by God Lives Underwater (it was $1.95, ok). Plus Rick Rubin produced it and I partied with these guys once in Lawrence, Kansas. I think I used to own it, but must have sold it at some point. It's prolly not great, but I'll give it a listen anyway. Then grabbed an album from The Rapture. i'm not too familiar with them, but have heard good things.
So....sew buttons....I have plenty to keep my ears happy.
