Why is it difficult to make close friends when you grow older?
Why i ask why? no I do not drink bud dry. barf. So I am the most sociable person out there, yet I find it hard to make long term friends as I get older. Anybody know the reason to this? It's completely in my control.....but what do you say? Hello. I find you interesting and likeable. Do you want to have a slumber party?

It's because your world becomes smaller as you grow older, your old friends die-off, literally, your interests change so the type of people you like to be with changes too. You out-grow some people and ativities that used to interest you.
People move away or get married, get new jobs and have their own family to think about. It's the natural order of things.
Hopefully, as you age you become less naive and wiser. Or you might be one of the unfortunate that develops a cause so they really become a B O R E ! You convince yourself that you care more than the other guy....HA!......bullshit! Don't do it.
There's nothing worse than sitting beside somebody with a cause, at any age.
Imagine an old guitar playing asshole or retired professor with a cause....sheesh, it's frightening. You know, some dipshit from San Francisco who's old enough to know better at a political rally or marching on the street with a stupid-ass sign. Polticians and stupid-ass signs are the problem.
At least grow old with some dignity and tell activists and politicians to fuck off!!!
Don't worry about getting old, you'll be there soon enough.
