Bio
My name is Herb, I started Cheektowaga Records, with the best of intentions, the road to hell is paved with what ? I had always wanted to be involved in the music business, I have a ear for music, be it Rock, Blues , Country, Pop even some Opera.

My idea was to do away with the " attitude " part of the music business, if you came in to my office and you had something that I thought was good, we'd book a studio and we'd record it. There were no fancy receptionist's although at one time I hired 3 young ladies to help us, they did little but polish their finger nails and take advantage of my good nature, but then I was drunk most of the time to.

This material here is but a small % of the tracks we recorded and paid for, with the exception of the Hard Facts material which was already in the can, all we did was press it, and got rooked in the pressing, it was not the best qaulity pressing.

I've learned in life that you can not please some people, no matter what you do, you can never do enough. But thats OK, I wouldn't trade the fist-a-cuff's in front of CBGB's or the guitarist pouring beer down my back, in the middle of a New York winter ( he thought it was funny and maybe it was ) I just had a lot of fun, flirting with the folk...although I never got laid. I am still in the business and operate Cheektowaga, and will do until the day I die, just like Hilly did with CBGB's ( although Hilly made a lot more money than I ever did )

this material was from the actual vinyl pressing, and like I've said it's a very small percentage of the work that we / I did, I moved around the world a lot, looking to satisfy a hunger that I now know will never be satisfied, I'll never be Quincy Jone's, I'll always be just me, looking for love in all the wrong places. The idea that I would find a hell raising, hard drinking - rocking raunchy partner , was the subject of a Hollywood movie, and has little do do with real life eh ?
