And they have Rickshaws there.

The band is A Modern Machine, and they're planning on getting up on Fuzz as soon as the EP settles...in the meanwhile if you want to check out their sound, it's A Modern Machine

A Modern Machine was formerly known as Fayvor Love, a band that received rave reviews for their 2004 release "Figure & Ground". They haven't played out in 2.5 years, and from what I've heard, their new stuff is amazing. (I'm going to this one)

You know Company Car, and if you don't, you should check this out. They're a great live show, and fun guys to get to know...Disalto is an act from LA that I've heard good things about. Plus, the show is all ages (bonus for the teenyboppers!) and Company Car is advertising a free drink with admission for all of you folks who are of age.

If you're one of those kids that lives on Guererro, and doesn't get out of the neighborhood much, you should check out Peloton at the Elbo Room. I saw them once with the Boneless Children Foundation, and they were really catchy. I have been enjoying their Promo EP ever since.

NEW HAMPSHIRE. WOO! It's been non-stop visits and events. Everyone and their sister is getting married this summer, and I've been to showers and ceremonies, and not even the one I came for (yet). My mother has turned the back porch into a tropical rainforest with windowboxes and hanging plants. They have 2 retro light boxes which serve as end tables where manhattans are served instead of soft drinks now. I've been mixing wine with liquor and/or beer, though. This has been giving me horrible/dibilitating hangovers. Whyyyy?

I sometimes get tired of circling around the website, reading blogs about the daily lives of teenagers and sifting through musicians who are not-so-good to find the good. I've been frustrated by friends who won't sign up, by the mixed enthusiasm from people I talk to, and feeling like my avidity is all for not. This has nothing to do with the people at fuzz, who are dedicated and passionate about what they do, more to do with the day to day interactions with people, shows that I go to without "the goat" and my inability to immerse myself in an online community.

And THEN! I read quotes like the above that remind me why I'm completely obsessed with this site, these people, and this cause.

So Fuck YEAH, Urbano. And thank you to all you Fuzzerful people making this happen. "It's the solution."

Come to Bottom of the Hill tonight. The Ant Show is having a compilation CD release and Company Car is playing. I know, they're fuzz slackers, but they're a great show, and Cervantes and Mud will be playing too. PLUS! These are party people. Guaranteed good times. And I'll be there.

Is no longer in service. I went to our company meeting/lunch, and now I'm delightfully buzzed and full, and not ready to do much...except reminisce about last night's coolness.

Foreword: The last time I met these cats I was, as they say, Drunk. I didn't really remember that I was going to potentially meet them, and I showed up to the show, well, wasted. It all worked out, though.

Moving on.

I went to dinner with Arin, Ian, and Ryan (phatduckk, fuzzygroove, and ry ry) at the Connecticut Yankee on 17th. I had an awesome cheese steak. We talked about goats and south park and porn...Chris was there (that handsome devil) and we heard great stories of the fuzz shenanigans.

The show. Well. The show was awesome and I haven't "rocked out" like that since I was 22.

Know the band you're going to see. This is another blog for another day, but let me just say, it makes a difference.

The music was awesome. The Phenomenaughts were a force. The Epoxies were totally rad. I'm not reviewing them here, but the music part of the show was great.

And now it's 5:08 on a Friday, and it's time for me to take off for the weekend.

Because I was epically drunk last night, and I am epically hungover today.

Music is fun. I have new "fuzz friends". It's Lizzy's last day and we're having a DDR competition. I have 5 minutes before my bakful ass has to compete. Wish me luck.
