Wednesday Night in San Francisco
So Tomorrow (7/18/07) is going to be a great night for music. If I could split myself in 3 I would be at the following shows:
Slim's
(21+)
You Am I
A Modern Machine
HIJK
8 PM ($13)
A Modern Machine was formerly known as Fayvor Love, a band that received rave reviews for their 2004 release "Figure & Ground". They haven't played out in 2.5 years, and from what I've heard, their new stuff is amazing. (I'm going to this one)
Bottom of the Hill
(all ages)
Radar.net presents...
Company Car
Disalto
[CD release]
Paper Tiger
Dominic Castillo And The Rock Savants
8:30 pm (doors at 8) ($8)
You know Company Car, and if you don't, you should check this out. They're a great live show, and fun guys to get to know...Disalto is an act from LA that I've heard good things about. Plus, the show is all ages (bonus for the teenyboppers!) and Company Car is advertising a free drink with admission for all of you folks who are of age.
FINALLY!
If you're one of those kids that lives on Guererro, and doesn't get out of the neighborhood much, you should check out Peloton at the Elbo Room. I saw them once with the Boneless Children Foundation, and they were really catchy. I have been enjoying their Promo EP ever since.
Elbo Room
(21+)
Peloton
Murder of Lilies
Astral
9:00 ($6)
Granted, I know it's going to be a long week for some of you Ducklings...but I highly encourage straight up debauchery. Just give in. :)
