Bio
I started playing guitar in the 6th month of '66, I didn't need to make a deal at the crossroads with anyone. I live by faith. People have been paying me to play guitar for many years. I am inspired by the sparkle in the eye the the student who has just made a realization about a musical concept. I have the same birthdate as Stravinsky and B. Manilow. I love many styles and genres of musical expression, and that should become more and more evident as I throw more music at the wall of Fuzz, I'll try to add velcro to the music I throw. I read, write, and play all kinds of guitar music. I also play dobro, lap steel, mandolin, and bass. I dabble with piano, harmonica, ocarina, and fiddle too. I love recording technologies. Need to know more, ask me.

He has similar interests and knowledge as you (and also some good bands on Fuzz).
I'm still teaching students, and producing tracks for other artists in my studio.
Recently got a Mesa Boogie Recto Verb 50, which I am really having a blast playing these days. I'm running the Mesa, and my Rivera Clubster in stereo through a TC Electronics G system. I've got a Fulltone Fulldrive for overdrive/distortion plus of course all the variations available with the amps. The Recto Verb is incredibly versatile. I was researching amps for several months and finally came to the realization that the current crop of amps all appear to be attempts to copy what Mesa Boogie does. Multi-mode/multi channel tube amps, (not to say that others aren't doing a fine job in many cases, but..) I checked out half a dozen Mesa Boogies after trying many other amps and bought a Boogie. I don't regret the purchase because I love this amp.
If anyone would have asked me if I needed a Rectifier style amp, I would have said no, because I typically don't play metal, and if I do, I drive the amp with pedals anyway, but this amp does everything from crystal clear clean, reminiscent of a Blackface Fender Tweed, to 'full-shred' metal, and everything inbetween. It sounds great with a Strat, Tele, Les Paul, and my favorite Paul Reed Smith McCarty "hollowbody II" (20th anniversary model). So far I've played two "big Band jazz gigs", two rock band gigs, a country recording session, and a jazz duo gig with this amp, and it worked like a charm in every style.
