Bio
I like to write, as well as make videos. I run a small record label out of my apartment called New and Used Records. I've put out one record thus far and have another coming this summer. When I was young, a fortune told me, "You have a deep appreciation of the arts," and that fact has stayed with me my whole life. I've never strayed from my creative dreams, and I will continue pursuing them my whole life. For more about my creative endeavors, check out these sites:

Last Monday, the Passionistas headlined a free "Locals Only Night" at Cafe du Nord in San Francisco. I hopped between camera duties by the sound guy and the merch table. A number of friends were there, as well as some "industry" acquaintances, so it was fun to talk business for much of the evening. It would appear the band has settled into a comfortable and upbeat setlist, though there is a song or two I might like to see return. Still somewhat new drummer Tina Liao...
The only recording artist I can think to compare Lil Wayne to is Bright Eyes - for Conor Oberst is the only other artist whose entire musical development has been documented. Both artists have been releasing records for the majority of their young lives. Wayne himself has progressed so far beyond the typical novelty burnout of kid rappers that he's able to proclaim himself "the best rapper alive" - and no one's really arguing. An MTV roundtable debating the Hottest MCs in...
Last month, everyone was ga-ga over Radiohead's bold move to raise a mighty middle finger to the major labels and independently release In Rainbows. Even more bold - the band's decision to allow fans to set their own price. Because news travels fast, and business models adapt faster than ever, it didn't take long before others followed suit. Trent Reznor announced his plans to stay a free agent, while a record he produced will receive a release treatment similar to...

Your willingness to try many new approaches to dealing with the changing web-based environment is evident from your active participation on this site. I know your comments have helped me to see many things in a different way and that must be the case with others as well, both musicians and music fans.
Again, although it is becoming a broken record of my voice about it, I think that this new BBcode tool is fabulous and will revolutionize the way musicians can be educated and marketed as more participants use and expand the possibliities of this limitless linking of web Content BUT WITH FOCUSSED 'VALUE INDEXING'. Linking infinitely expanding web Content with personalized Content Discovery Tools [as made available by a simple application of the BBcode as it works on this platform] is key.
As a young label in search of an edge and distinction yourself [which is really gaining momentum as I gather from your own profile and blogs to date], getting out in front with a new approach enhanced by BBcoding may well provide important early-mover advantages [or so says this newly converted Evangelist of the Possible after discovering my Personal Rosetta Stone to unlock both the mystery and chaos of the web. :=)].
Cheers, TCC
As a new label, I am convinced that you can now mold the web to fit your vision on a dynamic basis on your Profile page. This is a great tool.
Jeff says that you can also do this stuff on your band pages and monitor statistically action on your "band profile" on a dynamic basis, but I don't have a live band [yet] and prefer the familiarity of the main Profile page. I'm sure the folks a Team Fuzz can explain all this "data management" stuff to you directly. Cheers
Maybe we could use some smileys at the Fuzz.
