Lessee, I'm on this site because Tom Morello asked everyone on his myspace site to hook up with it. Hmm. . .guess that means I'd jump off a bridge if Tom were to ask. Wonderful site, however I seriously hope I don't get the boot for being coolness deprived. :-)
Hmm. . .musical tastes. . .I'm not going to lie--they're pretty generic. I like classic rock, hard rock, the blues, and folk. As a folkie, I am intrigued by the direction in which Tom is going with his Nightwatchman persona.
One person for whom I'd like to give a plug is Jim Boyd. He did a couple of songs on the Smoke Signals soundtrack, some of which were written in collaboration with Sherman Alexie. However, he is pretty unknown. He appreciated my describing him as a Native Neil Young. I think that is a pretty accurate description. I am trying to get him on Fuzz, but in the interim please visit his MySpace site:

I also love (in no particular order) Bob Dylan; Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young; Audioslave; Rage Against the Machine; Black Sabbath; Springsteen; the Eagles; Stevie Nicks; Jimi Hendrix; the Doors (I think Robby Krieger is a brilliant guitarist); Robert Cray; U2; Metallica; Chris Cornell; Soundgarden; Kiss; Journey; John Cougar Mellencamp; Elvis Presley; Midnight Oil; Neil Young; Jackson Browne; SRV (Saw him in '85. Died the day I started college).
Other than that. . .I'm a 35 year old ASU student, live with my husband Bruce & our 7 cats (well, 6 as of 8/10--Peek-a-boo just passed away), 7 salamanders, and tank of fish. Bruce's and my first date was Kiss's '96 reunion tour. (Hey now, evidently one of Tom's first attempts at the guitar was a Kiss tune!).
For what it's worth, first degree is in English, the one I'm finishing up is in Conservation Biology, which explains the Sonora Sucker I'm posing with in the photo. I think we must be related--we have the same nose. (btw, Mr. Sucker was released as soon as the pic. was snapped). I am currently doing field work in Tombstone with bats. LOVE bats. I spent much of my childhood down by Tombstone & feel a real spiritual connection with the area. I want to be a field biologist (fish, reptiles/amphibians, or bats) & science writer if I ever "grow up". Carl Sagan is one person whom I revere deeply. His writings are sheer poetry, plus he was an agnostic pantheist like me. Yeah, an agnostic pantheist--are you impressed? You should be--I'm so obscure, lol.
My political issues are the environment (without a viable environment, everything else is a moot point), animal issues, and civil rights issues, particularly American Indian & African American issues. Regarding the animal issues, I gotta give a shout out to the cat rescue group I started: http://www.mildcatsatasu.org/ (the name was voted on & was NOT my idea, btw). As mentioned, I am a pantheist. I am also a pacifist, gave up chicken, beef, and pork on 12/25/06, believe the world is round, not flat, am hopelessly tone deaf, and support Kucinich for president.
Wow, that was pretty long. Must mean I'm fascinating, or perhaps very self-absorbed. ;-)
Peace.

Hi, I haven't blogged in a while. This is going to be a looooooooooong one. Here's why I've taken leave of the site--indeed, here's more than you'd ever want to know. On a great run here!
Uh, it's been an interesting few months--we finally had one of our cats put down after she battled cancer all summer (she was ~17, but still--our little Peek-a-boo baby), followed by Bruce's dad having a (fortunately mild, but nonetheless scary) heart attack a week later...

"This year At&t did live webcasts of the Bonnaroo festival in which they censored several bands any time they spoke of Bush, etc. The Nightwatchmanwas one of those artists who got censored when he spoke of beingsick of the Bush Administration. At&t are trying to deny that they did this,so what we need is a captured stream of the At&t free webcast. We need a fan who used one of the many recording...

Thank you for your kind words regarding my video... Yes, expanding a little and listening to new music is always a good thing!
Noticed you're a fan of Tom/The Nightwatchman--awesome! I've been keeping a Tom Morello tour diary on my Fuzz page... Next entry is coming out this week.
Were you able to catch any of the shows while we were out on tour?
