Everyone has either turned me down or not even bothered replying

The BBC initially said they wanted to commission my music. Guess what? They changed their mind. I give up.

Coupled with the fact I have had no plays on Fuzz for over a month leads me to believe that it's time for a break.

I have no incentive to write at the moment.

I tried to compare Clif's lo-fi work to other musicians I know. Some sound like a softer version of 'Great White' (remember them?) and others remind me of Nickel Creek.

Overall though I came to the conclusion that Clif sounds like Clif, which is no mean feat in an age where everyone seems to be in to music is some form or another.

So far today I have been listening for about an hour which is not nearly enough. My favourites are 'Suffer Me' and 'The Love You Leave Behind'. This is music you can keep coming back to again and again.

I'm doing my best not to sound too lovey but it's hard not to.

How true. The one thing I really like about Gabriel's music is you never know what you're going to feel from one moment to the next. Just as you start to feel comfortable, off it shoots in another direction, constantly keeping you on your toes and wondering what's coming next. Anything but predictable!
I started from the top down listening to each track in turn. Each track is so different from the one which precedes it.
I really can't put my finger on any influences to be honest. The odd track is a little easier for me. "Pattern Water" reminds me of "The Propellerheads" but maybe that's just me. Others seem to lean towards Jarre's more 'quirky' efforts such as "Aero" but again, maybe that's just me.

Biomech and lights is one of the more technical pieces which is a joy to listen to and Can't Fake the Funk just needs Jay Kay on lead vocals.

It appears that influences are as wide ranging as the songs they produce.

The music to me is a cross between The Cult, Joe Satriani, Slash and many more, seamlessly blended into music that makes the jaw drop
