Well, that's it. I have written to everyone I can think of regarding my music. From film to T.V, and advertising to video game companies, agents to corporation's promo videos.

Everyone has either turned me down or not even bothered replying

The BBC initially said they wanted to commission my music. Guess what? They changed their mind. I give up.

Coupled with the fact I have had no plays on Fuzz for over a month leads me to believe that it's time for a break.

I have no incentive to write at the moment.

I'll leave my account here for as long as it remains but for the time being...

The following was a message I received on Fuzz today.....

Does he really think I'm that STUPID????

Tel:+22503472799
Email Address:cbabbot50@yahoo.com

Good Day,

We have never met before, but it's with great anticipation of your understanding that I'm writing you and I hope you will be in good faith to give a deep consideration to my proposal below.I'm currently looking for business partner overseas.

I'm Mr.Chris Belay Abbot,I am a director of account & audit department,Ministry of Economy and Finance of Republic of Cote d'Ivoire. In the course of my official duty, carrying out an extensive Quarterly auditing of accounts under my establishment, I discovered a huge fund (39.599m Euro) in a dormant account, that I instructed its lodgement into a government account/Treasury until the beneficairy is identified.I have made up my mind to move this fund out of my country, it is in this scope that I'm putting up this proposal to you, to go into a partnership/transaction with me to move this fund out of my country, as I need a foreign partner outside my base to do this.

My further negotiation and terms of transaction will continue only after you let me know via a return mail or phone call informing me of your interest in this transaction. You can call or email me to talk further about possible agreements between our companies, and, perhaps, we can work towards an agreement together.

Please be kind enough to inform me also if you are not interested, so that I can scout for another partner.I'm at liberty to go into an extensive and trust worthy discussion/ negotiation with you in the event that you furnish me with the following :

Your Full Names, Address, Profession, your telephone and/or fax number in your return mail or alternatively you can give me a call as you read my proposal.

Thanks for taking your time and I look forward to a fruitful transaction with you. Please be rest assured that there is no risk involved because my private investigation show that the funds are overinvoiced payment and will be release directly once a beneficiary is identified. It is in this aspect that i will pass the information of the deposit to you to help facilitate your recongnition and payment. The limit time frame for the confiscation of the fund to government treasury if there is no identifiable claimant in two months.

Yours Sincerely.
Mr.Chris Belay Abbot

I have been a fan of Clif's music since I joined Fuzz back in February this year, mainly because of Echo Root. This I thought would take some beating, and a beating it has taken.
Clif's song writing seems to be a natural talent of which we can all be envious of.
I tried to compare Clif's lo-fi work to other musicians I know. Some sound like a softer version of 'Great White' (remember them?) and others remind me of Nickel Creek.

Overall though I came to the conclusion that Clif sounds like Clif, which is no mean feat in an age where everyone seems to be in to music is some form or another.

So far today I have been listening for about an hour which is not nearly enough. My favourites are 'Suffer Me' and 'The Love You Leave Behind'. This is music you can keep coming back to again and again.

I'm doing my best not to sound too lovey but it's hard not to.

A solid 5

I quote "The sounds are familiar... warm and safe like a worn out blanket. But the music's about as safe as a jog through the jungle."

How true. The one thing I really like about Gabriel's music is you never know what you're going to feel from one moment to the next. Just as you start to feel comfortable, off it shoots in another direction, constantly keeping you on your toes and wondering what's coming next. Anything but predictable!
I started from the top down listening to each track in turn. Each track is so different from the one which precedes it.
I really can't put my finger on any influences to be honest. The odd track is a little easier for me. "Pattern Water" reminds me of "The Propellerheads" but maybe that's just me. Others seem to lean towards Jarre's more 'quirky' efforts such as "Aero" but again, maybe that's just me.

All in all, a really interesting musician with much to offer.

Clif AKA 'Echo root' has to be recognized as one of the most interesting and intuitive musicians I have had the pleasure of listening to on Fuzz. Music just seems to be an endless flow from him.
Whilst most of us have to graft long and hard to produce anything he just has the gift to 'pick up and play'

Biomech and lights is one of the more technical pieces which is a joy to listen to and Can't Fake the Funk just needs Jay Kay on lead vocals.

In a word, Brilliant.

Lyden Moon are one of the most talented duo's that anyone will have the luck to hear.

It appears that influences are as wide ranging as the songs they produce.

The music to me is a cross between The Cult, Joe Satriani, Slash and many more, seamlessly blended into music that makes the jaw drop
