Bio
Born and raised in Miami, Roly O has been playing music for about 12 years. He would always hum songs on the radio, no matter the style. It was a way for him to keep himself entertained when he wasn't drawing in his sketchbook. In Middle School, he joined the drum line in Band. Percussion and rhythm would be his primary studies throughout middle school, and onto high-school. Roly O then started strumming around with his fathers Fender Stratocaster, growing a new taste for melody and chord structure, and began listening to Led Zeppelin, Rush, Primus, Iron Maiden, Yes, Santana, Steve Vai, and U2. His goal was to be as well-rounded as possible. In 2000, he began to use his voice along with the bass guitar. He joined a few bands with some high-school friends, learned a home recording tips, and began playing around with the guitar again, structuring chords and learning songs on the radio and on CD’s. Roly O began to focus on his most intimate songs, turning his eyes inward, searching for a way to communicate and analyze the changes he was feeling at the time. In 2004, he no longer felt that being in a band was the right thing for him, and still had some internal work to do for himself, so he wrote more songs and started writing lyrics on top of them on a more frequent basis.
In December 2005, he was given the opportunity to sing on a few TV jingles for FORD Motors commercials, one which would air during the 3rd quarter of the Superbowl ’06, and the rest that would end up airing for the following 6 months. In July 2006, his debut album titled GYPSY PHANTASM was recorded and mastered . The twelve tracks were recorded in his home studio in which he played on all the instruments, arranged and produced the tracks, all in the time

In December of ’06, Roly O decided to take it to the next level by forming a 3-piece band to perform the Gypsy Phantasm tracks. The band is called “ The Roly O Trio”, and is currently playing shows in as many places as possible in the Miami area, generating a bigger following as the performances progress. The band will concentrate on performing constantly throughout the year of 2007, as they work on new material for the next CD release.
