Needless Junkie
Pretty hard to top David Douglas' earlier review of "For the Sake of Love" as a fellow, more discerning, musician [than me], but as I was Fuzz surfing I came across your request for opinions from the Fuzzy people [presumably of all sorts], so here goes:

1. The whole range of things that you list as being done for the sake of "Love" gives one pause and a lot to think about. Love takes on ominous meanings with each thing you mention seriatim. Indeed, you become aware of its power to command us in so many ways beyond the conventional notions of "romantic love". This makes for great lyrics that empower because something new is being said here.

2. The signature phrase and repetitive underlying melody, "For the sake of love... xxx" have the potential to become iconic if you give it some more "empty space" [IMHO] as you enumerate the things one does..."for the sake of love." I took a series of speech classes years back and recall the main lesson that "silence is deafening" [people can't think about the meaning of words as they are spoken [or sung], but internalize them in the silences that immediately follow].

3. I realize that you may not want to change the tempo or phrasing of the piece, but this could and maybe should become a signature song for Needless Junkie, so you may wish to think about how you work the set-up for this identifying phrase before you finalize the vocals and instrumentation in your forthcoming album. Of course, this piece is all yours [and your group's], so please forgive me for my dumb, and perhaps overly intrusive, opinion and suggestion here.

4. I will repost this in the formal review of songs section of the Fuzz site so more Fuzzies check out what your group does with and...For the Sake of Love and provide wider, and better, input. Best of luck to you.
