The new music ecosystem ["Ecosystem II"] is the ultimate cottage industry with near universal application. Everyone is a poet/composer by nature, most can sing, and many are virtuosos. A reconfigured music Ecosystem II may well be the archetype of the possible in microeconomics, without social or geographic constraint.
The Music Uprising could be a great leveler where all can participate in creating personal values with the least amount of leakage to a hierarchy of increasingly unproductive intermediaries. Artists resonating directly with loyal Fans at the local level, in what is often described as "the Scene" [virtual or real], have the best chance "to make a small pile of money into a big pile of money" on a sustaining basis. In the blink of an eyelash, Artists and Fans become interchangeable participants in the Music Scene "depending upon which side of the microphone you are" [as Fuzz has often observed] at any given moment of inspiration. This energetic exchange can and should be monetized for the benefit of Artists and Fans alike. This is the microeconomic promise of Ecosystem II.
There is a "truth-value" [that elusive notion again borrowed from academia] lurking somewhere in the rapidly changing "power discourse" that is happening right before our eyes [and ears]. Let's see if we can parse it out and make a difference. TCC

s, I am preparing an Opinion-Editorial to be published soon either on my blog or, hopefully, the Fuzz Buzz that makes the point that imprisoned artists have nothing to lose but their chains; and they will deserve the future that they will[!] create. We just need to quick-start the process.
