The TCC sets out as Frame 1 in an ongoing series on "Music Uprising" a compelling vision of Brazilian Minister of Culture and renowned singer-songwriter Gilberto Gil on the revolution to come: "I no longer see music as a field to be exploited. I see it now as an alternative area of action, part of a broad repertory of possibilities that I have. Music is something visceral in me, something that exudes from me, and even when I'm not thinking about it, I will still be making music, always." [NYTimes article 03/11/2007].

My fault entirely. It's evident that I am only doing half of my job here. Stay tuned and I will get the sound-bites right to resonate with you more clearly. I really want to get the message across that there is a tremendous opportunity to create tangible values out of intangible "truth-values" [this is an elusive concept that I too am trying to parse out]. I think the music domain lends itself particularly well "to make a small pile of money into a larger pile of money." This is something that artists and fans alike can relate to. In the case of artists, they should be compensated more for their creative efforts, and in the case of the consumers [fans], they should have a bigger pile of money by spending less to get something better ["less is more"]. We have a long blog to expand on these matters and I will try to do a better job.
