I just picked up something interesting about the Fuzz platform and community that is being developed here as a result of reading and thinking about Joe Shockley's latest blog on "SMD Believe they can teach us to Hustle to the BEAT!" that I think you should definitely check out, if you don't link to JS directly [you should]. The SMD/Wichita_Recordings videos JS posted are, to me, instructive in many regards as follows:

[My note to] JS, What I learned from these videos is the following:

- You have just added from my perspective at least two more dimensions in the music aggregation and discovery process for many others at Fuzz. First, one can, and should, scout the wild and wooly web and bring back interesting stuff [generally music-related, but not exclusively] for followers of your own [non-band] blogs to check out. Second, you can support artists with the same stuff by adding it directly to their [band] pages if they haven't already done this themselves [I just did it, with a PM that I would remove it if the artist just wants to do his/her own thing - which I expect would be unusual since they are in fact themselves testing the limits of their digital leverage].

- The Wichita_Recordings group that I found through your URL postings seem to be a web-savvy music bunch that should be followed.

- There is no turning back the clock on how we "consume our culture", a subject to which I would like to return sometime.

Many thanks for bringing all of this to my attention. TCC [End of Note]

I think many of you have already done some version of what JS has done to add to the site content; but I just wanted to share my own realization about a pretty simple but effective way to bring more music stuff to folks at Fuzz.

ps: Apropos the foregoing, here is another JS contribution on Bjork ["Dont Let Them Do That To You!"], without which I would have just continued to think of Bjork as just a bouncy sugercube. But no more...

Thanks TCC!

Turning people on to new music has been a "thing" of mine ever since I was 15 years old, spending the bulk of my record store clerk paycheck on new records and music equipment and DJing on my High School Radio Station. I'm the kinda guy who's always looking for new music and I figure why not share these new discoveries with others. Fuzz is a great place to do just that!

JS, I can declare and admit without hesitation that you have contributed mightily to my own music education beyond the "oldies but goodies".

What I have been trying to bring to the Fuzz platform is some value-added content development [for those who are interested] based on my own [non-musical] experience kicking around in the world of hard knocks and being a long time student of "capital formation" [don't roll your eyes over or fall asleep].

In my "persona" as thecapitalclinic, I would now like to establish, after my own fashion and in a limited way, a connection between some, mostly dry and arcane, concepts regarding "value" and the more immediate and rich, even emotive and intuitively grounded, side of the value-equation, represented by folks like you who are better schooled in the "music experience" across a broader range than I have ever had the time to examine.

Let's try to built some scale in the JS/TCC tag-team to help bring the "music uprising" to fruition. There is a lot of clay to work with here, particularly if we can stretch our minds to use the infinitely scaleable new technologies to build something new. I note that lot's of other value connections are being established here. Pretty heady stuff.

It's an exciting time to be in music and "value"-creation.
