Jason Carroll and the Smooth Jazz Symphony
As usual bossbass found a good one for us. He says to check him out and we must surely follow BB's unerring ear to find Jason Carroll and the Smooth Jazz Symphony.

At 21, Jason Carroll is the "Three Musketeers" of Jazz. He is "one for all, and all for one" with his "smooth jazz".

It is incredible that young Carroll is playing all of the instruments in his collection here at Fuzz. Smooth Jazz Symphony is an unbelievable one man tour de force. "Cruising The Groove" seems to be his top-seller, but I think "Night Out To Town" suits me jest fine.

Check out another perspective about "smooth jazz" as a questionable sub-genre [although there is no question in my mind about its broad appeal for "easy listenin'] and Jason Carroll as a stand-out.

When he moves beyond the "all in one" novelty and concentrates on one instrument or utilizes his intimate knowledge of the nuance of all the instruments he plays as conductor, Jason Carroll will join the ranks of the jazz elite.

In the meantime, surely his novel approach in presenting himself will get him the attention he deserves.

I was impressed with his arrangements and just his diversity to play so many instruments perfectly. This kids is going far. I am so thankful for BB and for you for giving us a guide on how to listen to music. I never understood the differences between how jazz is divided into smooth jazz, acid jazz, etc. It is just jazz to me but I guess some people need to know.

Great review. I cannot believe you have time to give such thorough reviews. I want to be down! =)

A very talented young man indeed. TCC, and 2Serenity, I'm glad you've taken the time to listen. I hope other fans of great independent music go to his page as well.
