Boy Became King
Gavin Robinson [vocals/guitar/keyboard] and Tim Sturdy [keyboards], former members of Paydirt Theory, formed Boy Became King in June, 2007.

BBK just uploaded some instrumental tracks that combine a signature beat that has you trippin' and, at the same time, an electronic metronome to slow u down. This integrated juxtaposition of fast and slow [mostly fast] cadences and tonal modalities reflected in all of this group's pieces is a compelling combination.

BBK says that it is currently mixing and recording the vocal tracks for each of the novel instrumental rockers already uploaded.

If the vocals are as contagious and real as the instrumental tracks, Boy Became King may well have a hit or three coming right out of the box. Let us hope that they are equally adept at integrating intrumentation, vocals, and just the right lyrics, that you would expect from the lyrical Welsh. I've already added the instrumentals to my rock playlist while waiting for the vocals. Long live Dylan T, Long live the King!

NB: a note to readers of my reviews: the text of my reviews at this site may change from time to time. As I listen for futher nuances in a song or body of work, I keep modifying or adding to my thoughts, making my reviews an organic "moveable feast". Since Fuzz artists are constantly evolving, as are our own perspectives, I think Fuzz reviews should not be frozen in time. It's time to extend the power of real-time, web-based music discovery, by making our reviews, "wiki-reviews."
