For me, it's another wonderful. lazy Sunday. I am surfing the net and the Fuzz site with my player and my playlists on, tinkering with my Music Bank, adding a few songs, dropping some, just "consuming culture."

Lots going on here. Clicking on new artists, randomly adding a few interesting network connections, checking out "recent activity", experimenting with the various search browsers, genre filters - being surprised. Making a few comments, straight or otherwise, as the mood strikes me.

The constants today are my music and a receptive mind. Life is mellow and living is easy. No agenda's today, no targets to meet, points to make, frames to define - just soaking up what comes at me. Sponge Tom. Responding to a few blogs from my favorite people.

Someone said, with great insight, that culture is not defined but consumed. It's only recently that I permitted myself to be more open to the important distinction between the pro-active, ever restless, side of the human spirit and the more laid-back, and ultimately forgiving, side, receptive to the vibes of everything that enriches without having to work so hard to "make things happen my way".

Sometimes, rather than to work so hard to define the hard edges of our culture, we should just take it easy and consume it.

I am just "following my bliss" today. Summers and Sundays should be forever. [See Daddy 007's great blog on "Summer Seems Forever" that prompted this entry.]
