blog Changing My Profile Page to Become My "Living Fuzz Value-Index"

I have been playing around with the BBcode that this site utilizes and that I, who am very computer-challenged, was able to pick up pretty quickly.

If I can learn this, so can you!

After I discovered this amazing process of linking "web content" [whether on the Fuzz site or anywhere else on the web] with "language", I had one of those rare "AHA!" moments that I immediately wanted to share with my Fuzz Friends. By connecting "Content", which could be personal or external to yourself, with "Words", which are always a reflection of your own thoughts and your soul [however heart-felt, cynical, or whimsical such words may be at any given time], you have all that you will ever need to create the "Truth-Values" which get to the crux of all that you are or ever will be.

I know the Fuzz folks are working mightily to make the connection between "Content and Words" as simple and intuitive as possible. In the meantime, I thought I would put my own epiphany about what the existing platform can do with the pretty simply BBcode word manipulation formula that I linked to, click here, to start "doing my own thing" to organize and manage the Fuzz/broader web-related data, according to my own notions of value, according to my own words, according to my own sense of possibility.

Note: since I need the blank and more permanent template of the personal Fuzz Profile Page to conduct my living experiment in creating my own "Fuzz Value Index", I am pasting below the former "Words" that I had up on my Profile page, so my Friends and I can still access them from time to time. My thought is that "Words" are valuable, however whimsical; and although evanescent in the mind, Words should not be lost but preserved. Again, to borrow shamelessly from one of my Fuzz Friends, "Words are also my guitar strings":

Previous Profile of TheCapitalClinic as of August 19, 2007 pasted below with the tagline:

Artist + Friends + Fuzz = Rule of 3 X 3 [X 3]

Based on the promise of its Manifesto, FUZZ will lead a long-overdue "Music Uprising" by taking apart what is broken in the current system of music discovery. All systems are just a series of interconnected and nested networks. Artists and Fans must disaggregate and realign their own networks in order to optimize "values" [an elusive notion we hope to parse out in our blogs].

In the prevailing music ecosystem, "transaction costs" have corrupted "network values." Network connections must be re-energized by changing the power discourse between the creators of content and content distributors through disaggregation and selection for fitness. As dysfunctional parts are exposed, Artists and Fans will find new functional "truth-values".

Virtual "truth-values" will translate into tangible capital values for committed participants in any open system. Music discovery can only be enhanced by assisting a wider universe of Artists "to make a small pile of [virtual] money into a larger pile of [real] money." This is the abiding vision of possibilities driving our work at thecapitalclinic [TCC].

The times, they are a changing. The FUZZ "Music Uprising" offers a multitude of value-creating opportunities for those willing to do the heavy lifting in finding and framing the hidden values in [or arbitraging] web-based forms of music discovery. This forum will explore the many fascinating aspects of the foregoing, and their net positive implications for the future of music. The mantra of thecapitalcllinic is pertinent to the challenge: "Everything is an Arbitrage; but Time and Process are Everything".[/quoted]

What the *&^% does bbcoding mean? What does the bb stand for? I am so behind...

I am/was behinder than u, but I'm learnin' fast. I dunno what bbcoding means, but it works! As far as I can gather you use the [] to open a series and [/] to close it, instead of the HTML coding [and don't ask me what THAT means either] that uses the upper case <> to open and </> to close. Brackets are easier to type than <>.

I am guessing that bb stands for something like [open brackets][close brackets], but not sure. Cheers.

I should probably go ahead and learn this, too. You know - make the most out of my Fuzz page that I possibly can.

I'm going to start calling you "Oh Wise One." This is utterly astounding. It's going to take me more than 5 minutes to learn, though, and in addition to saving bb codes to Microsoft Word, I printed the tag page out so I could have it right in front of me. Don't expect it to come all at once, now, as I suspect some of our learning curves don't quite keep pace with yours (compliment implied, & as Maureen said, my first thought was, "What the heck is a BB code?" - then I saw all the pretty colors and styles on your page...and, well, I'm a sucker ; )

CamO. HELP!!!!! Embedding pictures directly into a blog or profile comment is a lot tougher. Mebbe I'll just stick to the BBcode approach which allows you to create a dynamic "Picture Bank" with a one-click away, one-picture-with-one-relevant-comment list in series.

For now, this is a heckoflot easier and cleaner. [See for example in purple my neat list of RANDOM PICS OF PEOPLE I'VE MET HERE in my new Profile page.] BBcode Lives! Viva la Revolution!
