Working Premises of TheCapitalClinic [Or Why We Are All Here] - Updated May 12, 2008 at 12:30 pm to add Lesson 26, What Is Excellence and How Do You Find It?] to follow recent additions on Your Sweet Spots of Web-Time: Reputation and Attention and Social Capital Wants To Be Measured..

My Color Code: Blue = My Blogs Green = Other Fuzz Friends and/or Blogs/Vids/Pics Red = Outside Sources (but don’t hold me to it, sometimes color just means “click here”); and approximate date of posting in [brackets]

1. Social Capital, which arise out of intangible Value Networks anyone can establish, will become Tangible Capital.
2. Music Matters – it is the glue that keeps it all together.
3. The Fuzz Manifesto will energize us through collective action on a common technology platform.

For me, fuzz represents a collective experiment on the part of Artists, Fans, and Facilitators to establish the Truth-Values of the foregoing by coalescing as a new breed of entrepreneurs in search of Virtual Capital in the modern era.

In a game-changing digital environment, there is no substitute for personal engagement to make incremental differences. Based upon facts and ideas found on this site and elsewhere, I will thus (i) create a “Value Index” linked to my Fuzz pages and (ii) do my utmost to help Fuzz Artists/Friends/Facilitators discover their own abiding values.

I will address how I see actual values materializing unconventionally by – (1) empowering “Micro-Businesses” through increased connectivity and trust; (2) re-aligning Market Mechanisms and the meaning of Cottage Industries [“2.0”] to better result; (3) building new forms of Brand Equity; and (4) Broadening the Base of revenue-sharing, at the punctuated Edge of Chaos where Markets Clear.*

Join me in this value-creating experiment in real time. It will be a worthwhile adventure to define for ourselves the new frontiers of the possible in both music and capital formation in the digital era of the Long Tail.

SITE CONTENT AND INDEX
My site content will be “ad hoc,” sometimes serious or whimsical, and will evolve as everything else in life, but hopefully for the better. To that end, I will continue to update everything that I do on this site as an iterative process [for example, see a “Wiki-Review” to create wiki-capital], by refining and polishing my profile, blogs, reviews, playlists, everything. The web is organic and dynamic, but most individual websites are static. Most pay homage to the power of the web, but lack DIY Commitment to create incremental value through Increased Artist/Fan Interactivity . Without your incremental content and the audacity of your ambition, Chance Has No Leverage. So, energize your Fuzz Linkages.

Note: This is still a work-in-process while waiting for the Fuzz folks to incorporate some common LINKS and TAGS. In the meantime, everyone here, please learn BBcode**; it takes about five minutes. Bulletin Board Code will change your life on the web forever. One important note, save your evolving Value Index Profile to Word because the "Edit Profile" seems to randomly revert to earlier dated Profiles and you may lose the most recent version if you don't save it somewhere to re-paste as you "update" your page! [I think the new Profile becomes fixed only after the unique visitor session ends. For now, the safest way to update is to revise your Word file first and paste it in the Edit Profile box each time you change or add to the “Living Value Index” or whatever you want to call it]. Once the basic template is set up, changes and additions become easy. This is great fun and could be one of the most important things I ever do at thecapitalclinic.

**Here are some common BBcode tags and their HTML [Hyper-Text Markup Language] equivalents. Once established, the BBcode format reflected in your Profile grows like Topsy.

Well, dear friends, the Editor-in-Chief of The Fix finally released for publication at the Nightschool column my 3-and-a-half minute thought-piece on The Rule of Three by Three . Because it may help you to gain another perspective on the important question about how to eat [read: how to survive in society], I shamelessly use my blog space to prompt you over there . Although it took me many years to formulate the rule with the help of many others [perhaps too many to even think about]...
Many of you have noted, and I agree, that the fuzz community should start to talk some more about this thing called “excellence” that artists are ostensibly trying to create and their fans trying to find. What is excellence? Can we measure it? Can we bottled it? Can we sell it? Elsewhere I have hypothesized that “excellence” is “the absence of disorder”. Wha?!! If excellence represents a qualitative condition that is “above the norm,” the statement implies that, as a...

Thanks for the words Teach, I wrote a new blog about what has been happening, now my line 6 interface has to be changed, doesn't work with 10.5.2. Unbelievable, I really can't believe this happened to me, I lost three songs I was working on, was going to put them on my back up later that night. I have been in a bad place lately, as you can see from my picture changes. I will work it at, what doesn't kill you makes you HAVE TO GO AND BUY AN ALL NEW INTERFACE. I went to Blip, very cool. Thanks for the love Tom, peace and much love bACK , Jostel

Hi there. Yes with the growing number of users I think it's quite logical that you do not speak that much with old friends, but that's ok, because the old friends have to do with many new friends too. Still they remain friends.

As for the largeness of this town called Fuzz: Competing in this large global economy means that it makes sense to have a very large unit. I think it would even make sense if this was not a capitalistic competition but let's say an anarchistic Utopia. Because many people working together can achieve more than individuals all trying to potter about small parts of the infrastructure.
The good thing about the internet though is that you can switch easily from life in the big unit to life in a small unit. In real life only the very very rich can afford to live in a small quiet idyllic beautiful place and STILL be near to a big city's center where the action is and where you can meet lots of fast, loud and interesting people. Online you can have this for free (provided that the infrastructure makes enough money to pay for it all, hence my support for the bigness of the entity!).

The software should enable the user to be part of a big city and still have smaller communities (villages), where he also can go to. As much freedom of choice as possible, then the population will love the administration. Especially on Fuzz, because the population knows that the administration is not some anonymous corporate robots (though corporate they surely must be too in order for the place to keep up the infrastructure), but guys like themselves, and therefore the townsmen like their administration - which might not be the case in most of the other towns.
So if the entitiy gets bigger it can afford more people working on the infrastructure which includes small villages being part of the big infrastructure.

TheCapitalClinic: this individual asked me to listen to their music http://dirtysouthcracker.fuzz.com/ which I did not want to because of my plea not to listen to hip hip. I listened and left him a comment to reconsider their position in how they are portraying themselves and I left this link for them to understand the History of the N word. They deleted my comment on their page. So, this is part of my frustration here on fuzz when I feel I am disrespected too. But this is my life offline too =(.
