Some professional editing software would help with this... most end up taking out too many frequencies in the vocal range that it can distort the song. Its really really difficult to get the words out of a finalized mix.
The best thing to do is I guess search for an instrumental version of the song on some pirating site...sounds bad but they offer them.
Depends on what your're looking for. A lot of times you can search the DJ vinyl sections of a record store and find a 12" single with an instrumental B-Side.
