10 more days 'til SHINE :) :)
We've been waiting forever but the time has finally come!
And what makes it even better : we get a private gig!
I can't wait :)

It was the best concert ever as Sarah rocked more than ever and played her best new songs!
I absolutely adore 'I can't get out' and 'Driving alone'!
It was obvious she felt like rocking the place, and she did!
and I got lucky ... :) as Sarah talked to me from the stage (in front of I don't know how many people!)
I honestly didn't even know she could see that far!
During 'Stay' I was singing along, while calling to my girl (who had to work). And after the song Sarah said she thought it was cute :p (in front of everyone!), then reminded me of the sound it would make on the other side of the phone (it was too funny!). Then she told me she knew I was a good singer. (Again, in front of 10.000 people :p). Luckely I had a lot of street team friends around me to keep me straight up :p :p. It was AWESOME!!

I've finally got my appointment for my tattoo. It seems like I've been waiting, saving, and drawing forever, but now it's finally coming closer!
The 6th of September will be D-day!
The lyrics were written by k's Choice (it's a part of BELIEVE), the drawing around it is a combination of my best friend (Hendrikje) and the interpretation of the tattoo genius (Didier).
Touch the fingers of my hand
and tell me if it's me
holding on to love
what else is real
a religion that
appeals to me
I believe
in me
More than ever 'Believe' will be a part of me.
PS: I'll post a picture right after I get it done..
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
09/07 --- I had it done! It's BEAUTIFUL! Pics, see PICS :p

Here's a review I wrote right after the very first Scream to Whisper concert in Brussels. (I put it on my blog - in Dutch- but I'd love to share it with you all!)
From Scream to Whisper
December 1, 2006. The very first concert of Sarah Bettens' new tour in Belgium, yet this is not a regular tour. Sarah brings us an acoustic theatre tour, in which all songs are brought back to their essence: Sarah's voice, a bit of acoustic guitar and Tom Kestens on piano and violin.
For once, it weren't jumping feet or cheering voices which had the Ancien Belgique in Brussels' foundations shaking. It was pure emotion.
A hundred music lovers, most of them had been fan for years, seated in comfortable seats still had a lot to say for themselves before the lights were dimmed and podiumlight set the mood. Nobody really knew what to expect.
The very first song, already there (K’s Choice, Almost happy), didn't miss its goal. This is purest a song could possibly get. Simply Sarah, alone. Pure.
No guitar, no drum. Just that hoarse voice, Flanders' pride. When Tom joined in, playing the violin, it was too much to take emotionally. Many tears flooded, including mine. ‘Always know your home’, ‘all’, ‘dad’ and an ingenious version of Scream made it even harder on my emotions.
We were all in need of 'heavier' songs, to stop the waterfalls from our eyes, to make sure we wouldn't lose ourselves in pure sadness. With, ‘not insane’, ‘not an addict’, ‘follow me’, we felt almost relieved.
The crowd got to experience Sarah's voice like never before: Fragile, as if one breath of air could destroy it, yet strong enough to keep us nailed to the ground.
Surprising covers, such as ‘Cry me a river’ and ‘I can’t make you love me’, lifted her performance to a higher level. During her performance she kept repeating how much she was hoping her version could live up to the original and in my opinion she even better. She lifted the original up to a second - and a third - dimension.
While singing her new songs (Daddy’s gun and Just another day), she entered our hearts, which of course led to many more tears and emotions in overdrive.
She promised all present fans a new album, Shine, which will be released in March.
We'll be waiting impatiently, knowing perfectly well that a version of the songs - as we have heard them today - will ever be played again (except in one of the following Scream To Whisper concerts).
I felt small, as Sarah's greatness showed more than ever. This performance was more than a regular or great show. This one could be called pure, musical perfection.
Tears, once your emotions seem to catch up with you, while the atmosphere sweeps your feet away.
Scream to Whisper touches, fulfils and exceeds.
