As many of you already know I was live on TV yesturday on DayBreak OC. They plugged me like crazy the whole hour I was there. I did 2 teasers and 2 performances. I sang Wanted to say and Im a person. I thought I was done but the asked me for another and to lead out the show with Wanted to Say. That was Ben fav song on the EP. So I did that one for him. It was so fun but man I was so nervouse. The news ancor asked me questions about my EP and songs. I recieved some sweet emails and messages from some of you and I wanted to thank all of those who watched me yesturday morning. I had to wake up at 3am to prepare for it. SO Im so tired..... :-/ Im happy about being able to do promotions like this. It has been a real blessing for me. Since I really only started putting myself out there as an artist about this same time last year. I have more performance dates to come and I cant wait to share it all with you. My show last night at the Library coffee house. Was so fun!! It was the most fun I Had performing in a long time. I did a 90min set and I was surprised how fast it went. I was having that much fun. I read a poem to the crowd. I'll post it o my poetry blog later on today so look for it. I sang a few covers. Every breath you take by the police and Sarah Mc's "Angel". I wanted to expierment a little bit. My sister Avera came up and sang backup with me. It was so pretty and the crowd loved it. She is so talented. I really hope some of you can come out to some of my next performance. They are really starting to take shape and Im really happy about that. Ive been feeling like superwoman for the past 2 days. For those of you that dont know im working on recording my first album called "Never not Myself". And it has been quite a task. Im doing this all on my own, under my own label "100 girl spill records". In the mist of doing all of this Im still working as a hair and make-up artist. And the past 2 days have been non-stop! Sunday I was in the studio all day got home at 9pm and did 3 clients and finished at 12:00am...worked on the computer for 2 more hours woke up at 7am to be at an appt in the valley by 9am. Worked until 4pm just in time to be in the studio by 5pm. Finished the studio tonight at 9pm. After that did a house call to a client/friend in the valley for an eyebrow tweeze. Got gas and headed my way down the canyon to my home in Los Angeles. Did I mention Im producing this Album myself? Crazy huh! It's been a whrilwind of excitement all the way! Im planning a 2008 tour, Nov 07 LA CD release party, Dec 07 NYC CD release party, Music placement, Performing, Finishing songs, Writing new ones, Running a company (other than my record label), Raising a 6yr old boy and getting him ready for school in september, Paying my bills on time (which is a big deal to me and not always easy),Going to the Gym (everyday), Planning and cordinating Photoshoots and press releases!!! And Im doing all of this beacuse I believe in the power of myself! It's taken me a long time to get here and feel this way about myself! And I hope I stay here for a while! I love the challange it brings to my life! Im listening to my new track "Who I am" taking notes on slight changes to make on mix. This song is rocking and really emotional but catchy. Its about being in a relationship with someone way past its expiration date and in the end you dont know who you are anymore. Im hoping to do a guy/ girl duet version of this song with a good friend of mine (at a later date). At the end of this crazy, tireing fullfilling day I have to say I wish for more days like these! And I hope all of you out there reading this are living your life to the fullest and giving this life the best you got!
My Song "Wanted to say" was played on the radio tonight! That felt so great! I was in the studio all day today working on a song I wrote "Who I am". It went really well in the studio and we got a lot done! I can wait to share it with you all when its done! xo
Ive got 2 shows in 2 states this week! A show at the viper room in LA, CA and the other at the Bada Bean in SLC, UT It may not seem like much to some people but for me it's a great start on my musical journey! My album drops in November and I can't tell you how exitced I am about it! I also just booked the www.OCNYE.com event! This is the huge for me! The biggest show I've ever done and I booked it on my own! Whoo Hoo for me! I even got rear ended yesturday and it hasnt put a damper on my spirit! Im recording 2 more tracks at the end of the month! Im new to fuzz so Im still learning on how to do everything!
