I'm either listening to music, supporting it, or trying to write it. I think about songwriting almost daily. I must admit, I've come up with some good hooks while in the shower--the problem is how do you keep the paper and ink from getting wet??? While I plan to seek out classes on how to craft a song and take voice lessons, at the moment I support the local music scene here in the Bay Area. I do promotions and marketing independently for several well known artists. I also used to co direct a non profit called AMP3 (The Association of Music Professionals). We produced an event once a month geared towards helping musicians and artists learn the business side of the industry. If anyone knows of any good songwriting books, please let me know. It's a dream I have that needs to be realized...and very soon...
