I'll be there Oct. 4-10th & I'm really excited! It's been over a year since my last visit. I miss the city so much I nearly had my bags packed to move back. Wouldn't that be interesting??? It's only been... several un-declared number of years. :) Who knows. Maybe I won't make it back to Austin. Anything going on around then I "just can't miss"?

The Legendary Greg Garing is playing tonight at Patsy's Cowgirl Cafe. I know... it's a work night. He plays from 8-10... suck it up, people! And it's FREE! Patsy's is a restaurant, so food is available. $2 Lone Star longnecks. Tonight's Greg's honky tonk set. You won't be disappointed! The guy played with Jimmy Martin & Bill Monroe, fer chris's sake! His new record was produced by Steve Albini. Drums by Mac McNeilly (Jesus Lizard) & Abby Travis on bass...

I didn't even drink and I am still recovering from SXSW. Whatever horrible diseased flu was flying down around there has had me down since I got home. It is nice to see some of the posse here on your page...

My life is never dull. Not one day. I didn't notice that there was a festival in town, because I didn't really participate this year. Oh, is that why there was no parking spots? Nah, I'm glad it's over and I thank god that the tiny sip of 450 dollar Crystal Rose is the only amount of alcohol that I "drank". Let's get Greg a gig at Mean Eyed! I look forward to hearing him and learning from him.
