I just got home from one of the most incredible shows of my life.

i've loved her music since I first heard her in '96, and live is just a whole 'nother era of talent.

she sang everyone under the table on the stage at the fillmore, never tiring and never falling short. if you ever have the chance to see her live, don't miss out! I spent the evening lost in the music, a true treat as a musician too.

I had heard about Richard Bona from my bassist Ray...
and watch this improv with Bobby McFerrin. Whoa.
So i went to see him at Yoshi's and the dynamics of his vocal abilities are a hush on your soul. plus he plays the bass like a piano at times. It's remarkable. Bonnie Raitt was there at the show, taking it all in too.
He's playing tonight too, don't miss. Or check it next time he comes through, which I think is for a jazz festival in a few weeks.
