I recieved this letter this morning from Priscilla, a fuzz intern /artist advocate
>
hey

Hey, I was wondering if you guys have any other songs aside from the awesome ones up already, that you could add to your profile? Maybe even for download?!

Thanks for having such a kick ass profile & let me know if you ever need help with anything...

Priscilla
Artist Advocate

this is my responce to her:

we have other songs for sure. A full length on Tank Crimes records called Straight Edge Failure and we have been in the studio recording all week for a couple new records, a 7" called DUI or DIE which will come out on tank crimes for our August tour with MDC. and we recorded for a split 7" with Mouth Sewn Shut( who are Toxic Narcotics new band). That one will be released on the east coast in spring of next year right before we go on tour out there.

Reason I haven't up loaded more songs is because I am waiting for FUZZ to change their terms of service so that the artist is more empowered and in control of their music that is posted on FUZZ. Right now, all my songs that are on here can be used by FUZZ for whatever they want where ever they want. They can take my song and use it in a car commercial without telling me, or paying royalties.

I am too an artist advocate and have not yet been promoting FUZZ because of their terms of service. I have been in contact with FUZZ regarding this issue and supposedly their lawyers are working on changing their terms right now. Once they do that I will post more songs and encourage my whole network to come onto FUZZ from myspace.
So that is the answer to your question, why don't I upload more tunes?

there are more tunes here:

So, please ask some questions around the office. Find out what is happening with the revisement of the terms of service and find out when its going to be done. This would help all artists on the web. And you are in a good position to assist. Thanks for your letter, glad you like the music.
peace,
John the Baker

Well I am that #*@!* Fuzz attorney, and can't spell hence repost of this comment. That now infamous paragraph 2(a) has be changed to address the issues you raised (our bad for not letting you know). The good news is we've made it more clear we can't sell a compilation, and we've added a specific provision that we can't use your stuff outside of the site ("For the avoidance of doubt, Fuzz may not sell downloads or physical copies of your User Content, or license such User Content for use outside the Site, without your consent."). The bad news is it still reads like a lawyer wrote it, which means you could get a migraine. I am working on that lil' problem along with a slew of other things in a major re-write that has the working title "Terms of Use II: The Reckoning". Please continue to give us shit about making our terms better - oh, and intelligible to humans. If you want to chat live about this pm me on Fuzz and I'll call you.

right on brian i appreciate that. Weird that you all made such a big point to me that you were going to send me the revision before you made it public and then you do it and don't even tell me. Thats why I have issues with the original tos. When real people say they are going to do one thing and then life gfets crazy and it happens a different way, the only reality is the terms of service. No one person at FUZZ can guarentee anything. You all have prooven my point!! You cannot trust what people say, if there is a contract, that is what they are really saying, they can tell you til you are blue in the face, that they will do right by you but when it comes down to it, they might forget!

I am glad you changed the terms, don't get me wrong, but you haven't exactly enlisted very much trust from me. I don't mind lawyer talk, in fact I hope there are not a lot of loopholes that me of FUZZ can squeeze through I hope its written well so that I actually have a leg to stand on if things get crazy and I end up in court. So, I hope you don't dumb it down too much.

When I contacted isounds about this same issue they said, "When we made that compilaton it was to help promote the bands". Wow! they had already made a compilation without notification, approval or royalties. I didn't think anyone had actually done that yet, but there ya go. it is happening.

peace,
