blog How do we promote Fuzz?

I've seen comments regarding the difficulty in getting Fuzz into the mainstream vernacular. People are always trepidatious when it comes to trying out new things, especially those that are not tried and true. The only way this site will ever reach its potential, is if it is adopted by the masses. Of course, I assume we don't want it to become the menagerie that Myspace has become, but there is a lot of growing to be done before it gets to that point.

Here is a possible step that we can all take, to promote what we have here at Fuzz.

Sarah, CompQueen(Chris), and I , for example, have all put Fuzz link banners on our MySpace pages. My page is myspace.com/bassbyeric. Check it out and see how I did it. Look at Sarah's, too. Her banner is a little different. Why don't the goat and Co. come up with a universal link banner, that we could all add to our web sites? You can add them to personal sites, networking sites, etc... Kind of like free advertising.

The more people see the Fuzz logo, the more familiar it will become, and the more comfortable they will be with it. Let's spread the word. Keep in mind, that when you promote Fuzz, you promote yourself, as well.

Peace and music.

Eric - thanks so much for the comments and for the support. The guys have actually built an easy link builder for you in the past few days. On your MyFuzz page, along the left hand side, there's a button that says "Link to Fuzz" - click on it. You'll have the opportunity to pick any of your favorite bands (obviously, your own bands are your favorites...) via a scroll down bar. You can then select from various images of your band OR you can select some Fuzz logo banners by clicking on the second scroll bar. Simply cut and paste the code into some other site and it will link back to whatever band page you selected. Let me know if you have any questions - I hope this was helpful and we really appreciate your support!

Your idea of a universal link banner for Fuzz is very specific and powerful. This would be yet another step to get musicians to see Fuzz as the better alternative to that "Otherspace" [which Fuzz truly is.]

Excellence, in music and everything else, is in essence "the absence of disorder" and thus FRAMING MATTERS. With patience and persistence, others will see that the Fuzz focus will create order out of disorder and excellence will emerge.

The branding exercise that you suggest will be another important step for musicians and their fans to take in the Fuzz journey to develop better and more music for all.

I'm sorry, but I'm still giggling at your use of "vernacular" and "trepidatious"... ;)

Must be all those crossword puzzles you and Sarah work on when you're on the road!

You know you're my boy E... ;)

I was just thinking of that. It would be great to see more people on Fuzz, I like it so much better than myspace. I think Fuzz should send out smalls packs of stickers for people to stick everywhere.

uhm...so for those of you who, like I, pretended to know what Eric was saying in the begining, i found a few translations to help us along.

And def, get them banners up on your pages peeps!
