Bass tracks anyone?
HI, my name is Eric Grossman, and I’m a full time, professional bass player. I’ve recently finished putting together my private recording studio. equipped with high-end gear, a variety of excellent instruments, amps, and mics. I’m now offering my services as a player, to the world. The truth is, the music business is changing, drastically. It is no longer crucial to have a record label shell out a huge budget to put an artist into an expensive studio, to record an amazing record. As a matter of fact, more artists are doing it themselves, with unbelievable results. Also, with the internet, the world is a very small place. Artists from all over the planet, can collaborate just as if they were in the same room, together. This has also made it possible to do great things, with not so great budgets. This is where I can help. If you think I can make your song better, just send me an mp3. I’ll record the bass part here, and send you a wav. file. If we need to fine-tune it, it’s no problem. We’ll be finished, when you love the result. It’s really that simple. The entire project can be done on-line. What a beautiful thing. Visit my profile for some of my work. I wish you every success with your project to provide bass tracks online to others lacking a seasoned bass player - as you have proven to be with Sarah Bettens and others.
While waiting for this particular aspect of your web-business to gain traction, since you now have your private recording studio, why not put together the Virtual Band that is often talked about on the web but never seems to happen?
I am sure there are many other musicians operating solo who are sufficiently intrigued about the notion of a virtual performing group and, equally important, who realize that they must begin to experiment first-hand with the myriad aspects of the new web-based music ecosystem [from production to marketing to payment mechanisms] so they do not get left behind when this world-wide phenomenon really takes off.
