Yeah - here I go again - lately I have been slacking a bit with my Dream Pop obsession :-) And then - yesterday - something happened, I didn't expect to...Most of the times I delete friends requests of artists on Myspace without "checking them out" - these girls dropped me some lines - I gave their music a listen - and really like it! Why hijacking a band name that has already been used for decades by a famous band. I know that it happens quite often that more than one band go under the same name....but the real Crash Test Dummies do already exist for quite a long time and these guys here since 4 years???? These guys are definitely worth a listen - found them here on Fuzz by browsing the "free download page" looking for some Shoegaze........Although I am not so sure about their Shoegaze genre tag - I quickly fell in love with their music . Their style is indeed hard to describe...for me it sounds more like Trip-Hop...complex and haunting melodies...very well produced and ...Now GO and listen yourself. If you love Portishead, Smoke City and Massive Attack - you gonna love The Golden...
