Here's your salvation. Come to the Retox Lounge if you live in SF, CA to see them rock the house with Flexx Bronco, COBRETTI and The Luxury Sweets....the Stalkers are the real fuckin' deal. Check out their tunes and see if you dont agree that they bring go mind the hey day of such bands like early G'N'R, NY Dolls, Hanoi Rocks and even the fucking best band ever to grace this planet in my humble opinion, the Dead Boys. There are many bands that sport the Glam dues but don't have the chops to back them up...I saw these boys a couple months ago, and they more then live up to it. If that's not enough of a review, then don't come to the show or buy their records. You're probably just not that Rock N Roll in the first place...heheheheh!!

Rather then coming up with something totally original to say here, I'd rather the first few paragraphs of their bio do it for you, because it pretty much summarizes and reflects exactly what I got from listening to these old school rock n roll motherfuckers. Check it out:

"The Compulsions are a rock 'n' roll band, formed in the summer of 2002 by New York native, Rob Carlyle (vocals, rhythm guitar).

Mainstream and underground publications have compared the group favorably to AC/DC, Guns N' Roses, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the New York Dolls, the Rolling Stones and many others.

They've been described by critics as "criminally unknown," "the world's greatest obscure rock band" and "the heir apparent to Guns N' Roses' long vacant mainstream hard rock throne."

In a review of the Compulsions' February, 2005 performance at CBGB, Mick Stingley of KNAC.com writes: "If there is a God, the Compulsions will get signed, then immediately head down to the Mercury Lounge and beat the living sh*t out of each and every member of the Strokes. If I worked for Rolling Stone I'd write, 'Best New Band, 2005!'"

Now if that doesn't sell it for you. No woman no cry.

So, let's say you had this band, whom were made up of old school rockers like Blare from Bettys Blowtorch and Chase whom used to play with Dee Dee Ramone's solo band. And then you had this chick that reminded you in stage pressence of Suzi Quatro and Joan Jett (Blackhearts era) and they had no pretension, and just loved to rock your ass off and their's too...now what would it sound like? It would sound like the UVs. And guess what? They are playing tonight at Fat City, Sat. May 19th with The Black Halos, Angus Khan whom have such illustrious members as Frank Meyers and Bruce Duff of the Street Walkin' Cheetahs...but that's not all....also Jonny Manack & The Depressives will be rounding out the lineup and they kick ass and are on fuzz.com too....so what's your problem and why are you still reading this? You haven't added them yet? Don't talk to me til you have. Love you. Dano ; )

THE BLACK HALOS</url> (Headliner)

THE HISTORY OF......THE BLACK HALOS
Born: 1993/1994. It began as the Black Market Babies, with a couple of West Coast tours supporting the Murder City Devils but by the first album (self-titled) for Die Young Stay Pretty/Sub Pop in 1998 it became THE BLACK HALOS.
Touring heavily across the US and Canada, THE BLACK HALOS shared stages with such bands as The Murder City Devils, L7, Lost Goat, The Gimmicks, The Vibrators, D.O.A., Gang Green, Zen Guerilla, The Hellacopters, Wayne Kramer, Streetwalkin' Cheetahs, Nikki Sudden, American Heartbreak, The Dragons, The Donnas, Nebula, Supersuckers, The Catheters, and Zeke.
In 2001, THE BLACK HALOS released a second album "The Violent Years" on SubPop as well as Warner/Canada and Warner/Japan with exclusive extra tracks .
Touring endlessly once again, this time BH performed with The Offspring, Millencolin, Gob, and dates on the Warped Tour.
One year after "Violent Years" release THE BLACK HALOS attempted to call it quits but reformed after offers to play Spain with such bands as Zen Guerilla, Arthur Lee and Love, Electric Frankenstein, and Danzig.

ON TUES. JUNE 28, 2005
Vancouver's Monochrome Glam Punks, THE BLACK HALOS released their 3rd Cd "ALIVE WITHOUT CONTROL" produced by Jack Endino (Nirvana, Soundgarden) for Liquor and Poker/ Century Media

The Black Halos had parted ways in late 2001 after 2 cds and dilemma with then label SubPop Records.
Their latest CD "ALIVE WITHOUT CONTROL" was written and recorded shortly after the bands Can/Am Tour November '04 with new guitarist Adam Becvare and Bassist Denyss McKnight.
Back and better than ever, the band have been touted as "rock 'n roll's bridge between Punk, Metal and even Goth."
more."
About The AMPLIFIRES With the true sound of Rock N Roll falling by the wayside in today's music scene Southern California's THE AMPLIFIRES have burst onto the scene to revive rock music before its to late. The band formed in 2004 out of the dismemberment of The DC Special and the band members' mutual love and respect for all things rock-America and beyond. The band cites its influences as ranging from The MC5 to Thin Lizzy to Iggy Pop and the Stooges to Swedish icons The Hellacopters. Combining the blistering guitar antics of Dana Amplifire and Kris66 with Greg's powerful drums and Stevie Free's thundering bass the unit has solidified itself to allow the vocal talents of Tommy Wildfire to shine. Together on stage the band appears to have been together for ages as they perform as a solid unit that allows the strength of each member to shine. Fallowing the bands formation it took them a mere three months to write material and book there first gig at the University of Redlands in California alongside none other than CKY and Zebrahead. SInce then the gigs alongside notable acts have continued to flow and the list has come to include Backyard Babies, Bad Wizard, The Chelsea Smiles, Eddie and the Hot Rods, Nebula, and The Superbees. With other bands clearly taking notice it drew the attention of Skinnie Magazine which named The Amplifires to their Top 25 Unsigned Bands List. With the hype continuing to grow its only a matter of time until The Amplifires are joining "Top 25" lists around the country and bringing the Rock N Roll Revolution your way!
If you remember back in the late 90s early 2000's....Sean Heskett was in a band called Phoenix Thunderstone....which had the legendary Vadge Moore, original drummer of the DWARVES in it, but was more similar in musical nature to bands like The Cramps, the Gun Club, and the early years of T.S.O.L.....many years later, he's come back to unearth his new band below Inferno of Joy

Are you sick of the white belt hipster generation....do you want to find more bands that are more in the mood to listen to G'N'R's "Appetite of Destruction" then some lame White Stripes record. This is how you seperate the real rockers from the posers. COBRETTI MEANS IT. So, if you want to stand there like a wallflower, WHITE BELT BOY, I suggest you stay at home and watch another re-run of Punky Brewster on Nick At Nite then getting your sonically kicked by these boys....they keep it rockin' so don't bother knockin'!!
