but like any great film--The Godfather, Casablanca, Citizen Kane, Porkys, what have you--I never seem to get sick of seeing it again and again.
Got a phone call yesterday from my friend Michael. He says this:
"hey man, I just watched the best music video in the world--the Royalty video Ryan (maldroid) did, you gotta come see it now!"
So I agree to meet him cuz he sounds like he's actually frothing at the mouth and dead serious.
As I make the drive I'm thinking this: yeah...it's 'proly cool, good even....jesus, gas is expensive, this better be worth it... I love the song anyhow..but c'mon, the best?? Did I eat today? Shit, I should eat... it can't be the best, can it?...after all, I've seen that Guns n Roses video with the dolphins and whales and helicopters....
So I go. I watch.
The new ROYALTY video IS the best music video I've ever seen.
ps: yours truly gets turned into a human kebab in this thing, spurting blood like an over-ripened tomato--and that's just in the first few bars of the song....
