I have stumbled across, been introduced to or even been asked by the artist to listen to their music!! The ones I love, naturally I favorite them...but what happens after that? I feel like I have been neglecting these artists who have such a great talent...

Tonight, I am dusting off my favorites shelf and going to try and listen to all of you!!! From Rhodes to Vertigo, & Jostel to Abra...these are just a few of the great artists on Fuzz and I don't want to be one of those drive by fans!!!

SMOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOCHES TO ALL MY FAVORITES AND TO THOSE I HAVE YET TO BE INTRODUCED TO!!!!

Unfortunately our time is restricted, so it is difficult to keep track of one's (growing number of) favorites. One way is to turn others onto them so they will watch the artists too. These others could be real life friends or online acquaintances. My ideal is that one day I get to a party and among the music played there is something from one of my favorite musicians whom I hadn't checked for some time, with people at the party talking about that artist.

I am trying to be a careful with my favourite button as I don't want to have a long list with artists I am not listening too.
Some Fuzz artists have really grown to my heart and I am listening to them a lot. Here and at other places. I think it would be great to have personal Fuzz charts.

Here are my last.fm stats:

Fuzz artists on this charts:

Mackintosh Braun +

Wayne Jackson +

The Golden Ratio

When I was young, having a "favorite" meant "liking" something...
Now that I am seasoned...generally, having a "favorite" means to "single out".
I giggle at my "Favorites" button on my browser...It is more like a collection of interests than a collection of "Favorites" perhaps that would be an inclusion for fuzz. How many "favorite" things can a person actually have? It is a Personal preference.

The music industry has changed a great deal since the 90's. No longer are artist able to rely on the majors for a fan base. Artist have to become the promoter and the manager of their careers. When I was growing up it would have been nice to be able to chat with artists which I listened to. But back then you had to go to a concert and get a glimpse of your heroes:). God bless the internet, God bless Fuzz, and God bless the fans like you!

Hail all fans, favorites and fuzz. Life is a pass by, even tough keeping in touch with friends and family in real life. The internet is no different. Remember one thing, this is a sight where musician's post their music they write and use the site as entertainment. One draw back, at some point you have to write music. It's hard to do it all, they are all (favs) in my vibe, I am a part of them, like they are a part of me (I'd like to think anyway). Music always comes before any site, but it's nice to have both interacting. Allows the best of both worlds,,, Jostel

You are a sweetheart, Christine to even think about this issue. In this day and age where we have a million and one distractions, it takes a special person to make the effort that you do....and your type of interest is the reason I continue to post music here. 'Cause both efforts come from the heart, not just the brain, and that makes ALL the difference.

@Bette: That was lovely of you to give me such a compliment!!! What can I say, I wear my heart on my sleeve and I appreciate all of the hard work that goes into making music! It takes a lot of guts to put yourselves out there like that for the world to digest!! I admire that and am a bit jealous that I don't possess such talents as you artists do!! But being a fan is just as sweet though!! Nothing like hearing a song that you want to press repeat over and over again!!!

Many thanks and smooooooooooches to you!!!

The more I think about it, the more "favorite" things a person can have. Favorite pair of shoes, favorite kind of pizza, favorite punk song, favorite country song, favorite place to dance...yada yada yada....favorite yada. =P

I try to keep things simple, when using products for example, I find what I like and stick with it. In the marketing industry it is named Customer/Consumer Loyalty. I am one of those who buys what I like, Pepsi (in cans), Yuban, Skippy (Extra Crunchy), Marlboro (reds box), Pop Tarts (blueberry), Honda (cars), etc... When it comes to music though, it becomes more difficult, because it changes so rapidly. Pink Floyd has maintained my loyalty for years, and although I still like their music, I won't buy anything after The Final Cut. Guns and Roses, their first album was a favorite, but they went to hell right after that. So you can see how difficult it is to truly be a loyal fan anymore. I don't blame the fans or the artists for this either, nor the industry so much. The reality is things change, artists change styles, bands change members, bands change styles, artists go political just for press. My reasons for liking or not liking an artist or band change too! I at least give them my attention, long enough to decide for myself, whether they have something special about them, that has an affect upon me.
