Q: My band just recorded [x] new songs, and they are up on our myspace page. Would you please listen to them and tell us what you think?

A: No, sorry. You have no possible idea how many of these we get a day. If you want us to listen to your music, please send us a demo and a press kit. We still recieve quite a number of these, but we make it a point to try to listen to all of the demos that we recieve. If we really like it then we'll let you know for sure!

Q: Hey, we're [band name] from [city, st], and we're really interested in being on your label, what are you looking for in a band?

A: We're looking for talented musicians playing interesting music that are willing to work hard and take nothing for granted. We pride ourselves on being a label that is very diverse musically, so genre isn't an issue.

That being said, we've never signed a band based on an unsolicited demo, let alone a myspace message. That isn't to say, however, that we never will, but haven't thusfar. Your best bet is to put together a nice eye-catching package including a cover letter stating your interest in the label, a CD of your music, a band bio, and any press clippings you might have, and mail it to us (address at bottom).

You never know until you roll the dice, we could be completely blown away and might never have heard of you otherwise.

Q: My band/my friends band/the band that I manage is on tour and needs a show in your town on the date of [x], Can you help us/them out?

A: Probably not, but again, a myspace message isn't the way to go about things. One of the largest obstacles is that our production company books at a venue that holds 700-800 people, and there are a lot of expenses to running a club that size, meaning we can only book tour pacakages that we know will be profitable to the venue, the bands, and us. That generally means bands that are on mid-to-large sized indies. It doesn't mean that we wouldn't like to help you, it just means our hands are tied.
Your best bet is to contact some bands from the area and see if they can help you out in return for a show trade. There are a number of great younger bands from this area who would be happy to help out smaller touring bands in exchange for a similar favor later on (try looking up: Tyler Speaks For Me, From Corpses Spring Flowers, Avelena Falls, and/or This or The Apocalypse).

Additionally, you can try the Championship in Lemoyne. They are a smaller venue with less opperating expenses. They can be contacted at: http://www.championshippa.com/

Q: I see that you are promoting a show on [x] with [bands listed here]. We're on tour and had a show fall through, can we jump on and play for free?

A: We're very sympathetic when this happens. It happens occasionally to our bands when they are on the road, and we're greatful when promoters do this for them. However in most cases our hands are tied. Many times the bills are full and we have no wiggle room. Other times, due to our contract with the booking agent in question we can't even have any bands that aren't on the touring package. It never hurts to check though. Best case scenario, you don't have a day off and have a chance to sell some merch, worst case scenario you're no worse off then you were before.

Q: How did you guys get to be so awesome?

A: Over the course of 15+ years of releasing records and you're bound to learn a thing or two
