Portland based psycho-delic alternative rock band The Pink Snowflakes are in need of a spot on a bill in SF on July 12th if anyone happens to have or know of, a spot on a bill somewhere in the city that has happened to become available on that evening...

They're on tour going down the coast and their original plan for playing here fell through due to technical difficulties. It would be great to see them in the city and it would help them out too, as they are a fantastic live band to witness! I have first hand experience. It's a blast of colorfully loud melodies swirling around with bubbles flying everywhere, people dancing, getting a little crazy... it's an awesome time!, help them out if you can...

That's it ...just as I said in my comment to these guys now... Where has this been? Man, this music is powerful. Awesome! "Metallic Stars" is just as I said, a blast of colorful sounds, a perfect blend of keyboard melody with semi seering, reverbed out guitars, phat bass line and tone, and the guys voice is incredible. Very wide range in the vocals. What a great discovery. Thank you Tibii. I recommend this music to everyone I've ever conversed with here on Fuzz.

I currently dwell in the hills of El Cerrito, and while dorking around in the town part of it one day recently, I discovered the coolest thing about it. On the corner of San Pablo Ave and Central there is the best kind of store... It's called 33 Revolutions and it is a cafe/coffee bar that looks like a bunch of different living rooms in one big ass room AND it's also a RECORD STORE, thats right exclusively vinyl! Totally my kind of place. I'm a helpless caffeine addict and I love to collect and listen to vinyl. I walked out of there with the following gems :

Led Zeppelin - Physical Graffiti
King Crimson - In the Wake of Poseidon
John Coltrane - Expression
Santana - I think its one of the 1st albums they ever put out. The cover is the design of the guy traveling through the cosmos. It has "Batuka", "Taboo", "Everybody's Everything"..etc... classic old Santana, very cool...

He's right. No one really sounds like this, and that is a quality I personally gravitate towards. Jostel takes the harmonica into new territories and the music overall has many unexpected twists and turns... a great example of this is "In Your Whirl" at 0:46 (one of my favorite Jostel tracks).. and there are many all throughout that one... Another favorite track of mine is "ClarVoyance". I love it when the drums kick in in the begining...and great separation of guitar tones @ 1:33. I look forward to checking out new surprises by Mr. Hason in the near future in this customized hybrid world of hard rock/blues/weird/alternative/folk inventive sound he has created... all the best!

screw valium this is all you need. Clif's music is as about as raw and nitty gritty as it gets. His finger picking is fluid and flawless, and his voice is smooth and melodic, and there is always a poetic message.There is a certain power with music like this. It touches your soul. Just like it says, just a guy and his guitar, and its perfect just like that. Just came back from an attitude adjustment, and the soundtrack today was Raising Sand by Robert Plant & Allison Krauss. WOW! Amazing record... so fluid and relaxing... just what I needed. Track # 2 "Killing the Blues" has some of the most beautiful vocal melodies I have ever heard, seriously... Has anyone else listened to this yet? ...and they're coming to the Greek Theatre too in late Summer! :>)

I had this veggie dream pizza today that had asparagus on it as well as red onion, lemon oil, cheese... really good but man, when I used the restroom the past couple of times now my pee stinks :>o I notice it every time I eat asparagus and sometimes when I eat Indian food too... weird.. ohh well...

Virtual Band formed by 3 Fuzz Members - 1st Song UpLoaded!

So, it all started from a blog by a fuzzie named Adamz. Now it has transformed into a virtual band called Strange Trax. The band members have actually never met in person and all met here on Fuzz. I responded to Adamz's blog and before I knew it he had me involved and Fuzz Factory as well. Adamz then also recruited the talents of Natalie and Pooch to do some tracks as well. Utilizing technology in this way has been a lot of fun and we look forward to new creations. We are all pleased with the high sound quality we are getting on this too. Friday video - Damien Rice

I love it when I go see a show, especially someone that is mainly acoustic like Damien Rice, and the music is so powerful that it makes all the little circles of people blabbing and chatting shut up instantly becasue the artist has captivated the entire room. Damien Rice does that. I witnessed such an occurance in Atlanta once in 2003 when I went to one of his shows. He is an amazing singer songwriter, one of my fav's - enjoy, and have a good weekend...
